What's with the inferiority complex vis-a-vis football in this guild? I mean, they're two completely different things. Just wondering.
Anyway...



We had football players in band when I was in high school. But our band didn't do field shows, so.
We had cheerleaders in concert band too.

As for the original question, I don't think either party really cares...at least I hope not.

Honestly, I don't pay attention to that kind of stuff. But the football players absolutely DESPISE the band, and so do the cheerleaders. And the band despises them right back. But the funny thing is, at football games, one of the baritones (who is REALLY loud [i mean his voice]) will yell out "SOUTH" and everyone else will yell "AIKEN!!!" and then we start the chant. The crowd reacts more to us than they do to the cheerleaders. It's kinda funny. AAAND we get to play Holiday and Crazy Train and Hey Baby and Raise the Roof off the Sucker (really weird name) and the cheerleaders dance. BORING! The cheerleaders get the glory for what the BAND is playing. Go figure.
