The only hatchling I've ever frozen still gained gender after I froze it.
However, I'm not certain if that is because it already had enough views BEFORE I froze it and was waiting only on time.
I suggest that you keep trying to get views and clicks on it to help it grow up, same as you would any non-frozen hatchling. Maybe that will work?

The frozen hatchling will gender over time. You can no longer gain them views to help them along. It is best if you are wanting to freeze a hatchling, to wait until it has gendered and than freeze it

Does anyone have a guess as to how long it may take for a hatchling to get a gender? Assuming they didn't have enough views to gain a gender and were waiting on those as well as time ...

I froze two of mine about a week ago and neither has gained a gender yet.

*edit* Correct that, several weeks, though not a month yet. Last time I regularly froze dragons they gained views after being frozen, I think. I know I've frozen others in the past that did gain a gender, but nothing recently. I rather fear the system may have changed.

Based on the fact that mine haven't matured in months, I think the way it works now is that if your frozens have enough views to reach the second stage of hatchling they will do so when they become of age. However, if you freeze your dragons at a point where they would have died because they did not have enough views to go to that second stage of hatchling, they will never reach it. As views are frozen, they're not capable of collecting more views and maturing to that next stage either.
