Nel's Hair color is green, so are his eyes. His hair is fairly long, though he combs it to make it look like it's short. He's 6ft tall and weights about 160lbs. He has a decently built body. He wears a purple shirt underneath his Captain's Haori and a Black shirt underneath his purple one. He also uses Long black leather boots that go up above his knees (Which can barely be seen due to his pants) and one black glove on his left hand.
He's rarely ever seen with a bad appearance, as he takes good care of his looks.
Personality:Hard to anger, he will protect whoever he can. He is forgetful and rarely pays attention when he's not being serious. He tends to leave his responsibilities to others most of the time although if asked personally, he's always willing to help.
When Nel sighs it means he's getting serious, regardless of what he is doing or who he's with.
Bio: Nel comes from the Middle Ages. He has only "lived" for about 150 years though. He was kept in an asleep state for centuries due to a rare condition that caused his soul to slowly vanish.
1700 years ago he was killed in combat while protecting his King from the invaders which out numbered Nel's combat force, his only regret in life was not being able to save at least on friend from his enemies' wrath.
Awoken about 130 years ago, Nel has slowly devoted his life to wandering around the Rukon district, where he hopes to find his people, but to no avail. One peculiar day a Soul Reaper noticed Nel's great spiritual pressure and convinced him to join the academy.
After various years of training in the 11th Squad, Nel - during a life and death situation when about 12 Menos Grande atacked Nel's team- he released his Bankai, obliterating everything in the premises. To his dismay, he was unable to save his team on that occasion and he then vowed to train himself to the limits, as to never let that happen again.
Having released bakai, it was not too hard to obtain a captain's position added to that was the fact that Nel was already an exemplar Soul Reaper.
His talent with the lightning element awarded him the nickname of "Lightning," his close friends sometimes refer to him simply as "Light" though. Throughout his years as captain of the Stealth force, he has trained himself and has recently learned how to use some Kido.
Now days he has relaxed a little, though he still holds a grudge against Hollows.

Shikai appearance: Raijin transforms itself into a short lightning blade.
Shikai attacks:
-Increased Damage due to Raijins surface.
-Raijin! By releasing Raijin at the opponent, a blinding flash of light occurs followed by a wave of lightning attacks. After use, Nel has to wait for about 10 second recharge, in which Raijin loses its electric charge.
-Lightning Wave: Nel can expand Raijin using his own reiatsu to create a wall of Lightning that is extremely weak to Ice.
Bankai release phrase: For those who can still be saved... Bankai! Sabishii Raijin!
Bankai appearance:During Bankai Nel's appearance changes. His outfit is replaced by Light weighted Blue armor that covers most of his vital spots, a helmet and a shield are also at his disposition. Nel's Raijin changes into a Teal colored -Lightning- Lance. His hair also grows to twice its normal length.
Bankai attacks:
-Lightning: Stab
Nel points his lance at the sky, Lightning will fall from the sky and charge the lance. The Lightning blast is then redirected at the opponent or it can be used to simply fight with the opponent.
-Lightning: Judgement
Nel will point his lance at the opponent and the lance will shoot a beam of lightning at the opponent.

4. Byakurai (Pale Lightning) - The user fires a concentrated, powerful lightning bolt from their finger. Rukia Kuchiki and Byakuya Kuchiki both used this spell and rarely other shinigami as well.

11. Tsuzuri Raiden (Bound Lightning) - Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through.

63. Raikōhō ( Thunder Roar Cannon) — Fires a massive wave of yellow energy at a target.
Incantation: "Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!"

9. Geki (Strike) — Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them.
Incantation: "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!"
39. Enkosen (Arc Shield) — Summons a shield of condensed Reiatsu to block opponents' attacks.

61. Rikujōkōrō (Six Rods Prison of Light) — Summons six thin, but wide, beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.
