Poor, poor George. What had the cruel world done to him? What as Dreamer going to do without him... Nothing. She felt completely and utterly vulnerable without her butler. It was like someone had stripped her protective skin and all one could see now were the soft spots she had. His wife had called of course, with a list of instructions for Dreamer; not that it helped much. She stilled managed to burn her breakfast and lunch before getting smart and ordering take out for supper. The house was unkept, dishes were spread out across the large expense of her counters and there were splatters of food and leftovers all over the place. Dust bunnies had taken over her living room, playing with each other by rolling across the floor once in a while. Dreamer had still gone out, a good week’s worth of clothing was sprawled all across her bedroom and towels littered her bathroom floor. Probably the cleanest room right now that Dreamer had managed to keep safe from the rest of her filthy house was her art room. She usually kept that spotless and didn't need the help of anyone. George had been gone a week and Dreamer had freaked out the morning he hadn't come in, how she had survived alone without breaking down was still an unsolved mystery. On the eight day, Dreamer glared around the room, enough was enough. Hiring another butler or maid would mean she acknowledged the fact that George could possibly pass away, and as far as she was concerned she wouldn't let death come knocking on his door. She made sure to stay away so she wouldn't touch the lifespan he had or maybe didn't have, not wanting to shorten it any further then it could be.
Most nobles would tell her to move, to just let him be and go ahead and hire someone else. But as stubborn as Dreamer was, that wasn't happening anytime soon. So she'd picked up the phone, dialed the best doctor’s number and taken an appointment for George, all expenses on her. She was pretty sure with his wife combined they couldn't pay for all the medical bills even if Dreamer gave him one of the best salaries in town. Dreamer had asked that George be sent to her house so that it would be easier to get to the doctor’s that way. And when he had stepped through her threshold, he had chuckled softly and shook his head mumbling about how Dreamer was still so young and had much to learn. That she did, and she promised herself to ask George to teach her how to do laundry so that he wouldn't have to strain himself so much. Learning to cook was another thing altogether, she didn't like anything to do with food except eat it though Dreamer could act like quite the picky eight year old if she wanted to. "Alrighty George, are you ready to go?" Dreamer inquired softly, looking back to presently smile at the old man as he wobbled his way over to her. He nodded and she grabbed onto his arm before grabbing him out of her house and handing him over to the driver of the cart who helped George into the cart. "Dr. Chandler's clinic please." Dreamer tucked her purse under her arm and looked to George. "I missed you." The man chuckled and gently tapped her knee. "I know you did, your house is a very good example." He chuckled, though it soon turned into coughing fit. Sighing, Dreamer looked the other way.
This is really bad...
Thankfully the clinic wasn't too far off, and Dreamer was left to help George into the establishment. There were a few patients waiting, sitting on chairs and all looking very sick. Dreamer made a face, hauling George up the front desk. "I'm here for an appointment with the doctor, it's for my grandfather." Yup, she had used hat excuse to pull a few strings, not that she cared. Though she did look a little odd in contrast to the old man, he was quite pale with black graying hair and blue eyes and a style that screamed middle class. Dreamer, on the other hand, looked like her perfectly combed self. Flamboyant red hair, liquid silver eyes and just enough of a tan that said she went out. Not to mention she had fae ears which were slightly pointed; they made quite the family. Hearing someone cough behind her Dreamer looked back and spotted a man, looking as sick as anything she'd ever seen. Turning around she yanked a tissue out of the box that the staff had purposely left for sick patients on the counter and promptly gave it to the man who thanked her through blowing his nose. With what she was wearing, she didn't want to get any germs on her and much less have George be affected with anything else. People are so disgusting, she thought bitterly. "I hope I won't need to wait, I've got a busy schedule." Mhm, sitting around at home waiting to find out if he was dying or not. Fun.

Reese had been shuffling through patients all day, it was sick season getting as many in and out as he could. Flu, after flu patient and a normal cold here and there. It was repetitive, annoying, dangerous, but he did it at the risk to save lives, it was his job. As the door opened again he looked off the second floor balcony and noticed his next scheduled patient had come in. He just sighed looking at the girl and bowed his head.'Spoiled brat' he whispered and maneuvered over to the elevator, going down slowly.
The doors opened to the hallway and he walked passed the three occupied cubicals. He passed May's darkened office and the small pathway to the medical room and he just smiled to himself turning into the waiting room. "George and Dreamer, I will see you upstairs, please follow me,"he said walking back to the elevator. He hit a button about half way down the hall that opened the doors instantly and he entered the elevator going up and sending it back down again for the man and woman.
He had no intention of waiting so quickly he passed the operation room and storage and sat down at his desk. Behind him was the balcony overlooking the front entrance, it was a nice place for an office, soundproof somehow.
"I am Dr. Reese Clyde, may I ask what have you come here to ask of me today?" he questioned. Sitting down at his desk he noticed his personal check up room just to the left and to the right a staff room, his building was oddly arranged, but it was for a reason.

Dreamer hauled up George and dragged him along behind the doctor, whom had offered no help or much less offered to give her something to pull the old man with. As much as she tried to make it to the elevator, the doors closed and left them behind. Dreamer huffed and glared at the stainless steel doors. What the hell... He could have at least held up the door for them, what kind of doctor leaves his patients behind? Dreamer wouldn't have been so irritated if her mood wasn't already dark, but just to be fair she bit her tongue. She couldn't just start yelling at someone whom was suppose to take care of George and, then expect them to do it properly. If she had learned anything from human behavior, it was that revenge was a sweet thing for them. George was already in a bad state as it was, for both their sake she didn't want to have to drag him back into a cart and then to another doctor. George patter her stomach, the only thing he could reach at the moment. " Don't be so angry. I can feel your temperature raising. " The old man snickered, before mentioned to the door that had opened. " Let's go Miss Eversong, don't want to keep the doctor waiting. " Dreamer slowly looked down at him, narrowing her eyes as she did so. " Then I guess he's going to have to wait, I'm already having enough trouble as it is taking you along with me. "
A few more minutes later they had arrived into the office, Dreamer out of breath from helping George, she wasn't a very physical strength kind of person. Maneuvering around George's chair, she dropped down into the next one and crossed her legs. Dreamer was still deciding wither she should stay nice or simply let the doctor know she wasn't to happy about the leaving her downstairs without any help incident. Bitting her tongue again she tried to give him a pleasant smile. " We're here because... " He's sick it's obvious, how stupid can you get. Dreamer though bitterly, but she let her features remain business like and as neutral as possible. " George here has been sick for the past few days, with his health deteriorating I thought it might be best if we saw a professional to see what was wrong. " Professional my... " Yes, Miss Eversong tends to worry a lot when I'm not around. But when my wife started to get a little frantic when I couldn't do anything by myself, she thought I should take miss Eversong on her offer to bring me to the doctors. " Georged coughed, hitting his chest slightly. Dreamer warmed inside, he was always to courteous even in the worst situations. She was very glad he had taken her up on the offer.

Reese studied the patients file clearly at the noted visits to other doctors he'd taken up in the past and turned away putting the file on a tall shelf behind his desk. He moved over to his left and pulled out a thermometer, brand new, and a couple more instruments before relocating the man and his friend to his check-up room. He listened to the girl talk before aiding the man onto a higher table and began doing various things to check up on him. First his temperature, which was slightly high. Various items said he had a simple case of the flu, but with his deteriorating age, it wasn't helping that he was moving this much.
"His wife has a right to worry. Mr. George, sorry for not asking about your name but one of our attendees recognized you so we had your files ordered immediately. Now, you have a simple case of the flu- in other words, moving like this will not do you any good." he said looking down at a couple pieces of paper which he wrote on. "I can invite you to stay in one of our patients quarters, or I can help you home but the simple thing is- that you just need rest. Ms-" Reese looked at the young lady by the man and smiled shyly.
"I've forgotten to introduce myself, I am Dr. Reese Clyde, sorry about my behavior before we have patients rushing in and out- your trouble wont go unnoticed," he said writing a waiver of fees at the bottom of the piece of paper and handed it to the kind lady."Mr. George will be just fine, would you like help getting him home. I need a lunch break and I think some food would do good before his trip home- or perhaps I can just help you straight home- after all I am simply a working man."
Reese hadn't had food since his trip with Emilia, a previous patient the day before. He hoped she had faired well since their meal. The doctor normally didn't spend long in his clinic, he preferred helping everyone of his patients home when they needed it- or answering questions when he had too.
Dr. Reese opened the door to his office and aided George into his office again, so they wouldn't have to stay in that small cubical long and took a seat at his desk. "I'm sorry again about my hazy attitude, were preparing for a large renovation soon- and I've got a bunch of planning to do since were offering more ways for our patients to come and go. After all, unlike most doctors I do not enjoy spending much time in an office, I like getting to know my patients." he rambled slightly unaware of his actions before a cough disturbed him and he looked up."Oh yes! Your medicine, here you are-"he said searching a cabinet and filling the doctor a prescription for a simple bottle of relaxation aide and a small bitter syrup to kill the disease in his system.

Dreamer watched the doctor carefully, assessing how well he could do his job. She was known to keep a close eye on anything that revolved around her, and this was one of them. She just couldn't agree with him when he said George had the flu, it was just impossible. But what did she know, she wasn't the expert here and at least he hadn't announced to them that George was going to die from a case of whatever kills a person. She'd figured as long as she kept Death away from him he would be fine, but once he was out of her sight, Death could do as he pleased. Though he rarely bothered the one's around her kind, he didn't want to rick doing his job alone; lazy man. " Yes, I think I'll stay here for a few nights. Don't want poor little Martha getting sick because of me, nor you miss Dreamer. " Not that she could get sick anyways, George knew that, but he kept her secret well. She grabbed the waiver and looked over it, nothing she couldn't cover. " Yes, I know who you are doctor. " She said slowly, putting the paper into her purse and closing it shortly after.
Standing Dreamer offered the doctor her hand. " I'm Dreamer, Dreamer Eversong. " She gave him a small smile, before helping George up and out of his seat. " I think I would just want to rest, though miss Dreamer you should go. I know you are hungry. " Dreamer reddened deeply, yes she was hungry. The only food she had managed back at home was burnt and she barely had eaten anything, the taste quite disgusting and takeout was getting old. " Oh no no, I'm quite al- " Dreamer's stomach gurgled angrily in protest and she reddened further, George laughed and patted her shoulder. " Take the offer Miss Dreamer, I know you don't cook. " Embarrassed she looked to the side and put a hand on her stomach, she murmured a " Yea... " Great, what a wonderful meeting. She thought miserly, I really need to take up some cooking lessons or something.

Reese smiled and stood up from his desk filing a few more papers to the side before he moved away, tucking a couple dollars into his jacket pocked when he stood. Pursuing the elevator he felt his own stomach rumbled as he moved ahead to get it open so George wouldn't have to stand alone. The doctor listened for the small elevator and when it opened he entered, holding his hand out to keep the doors from closing. When George and Dreamer entered Reese let his hand down and they dropped below the first floor into a small parking garage where all five spaces were filled with workers and the owners of all the building's cars. Reese went over and pulled something out of his but made his way over to a door.
"I think a Soup Shop may do us all nicely, after all the day is far along and it is bitter outside, the air may snap at you here and there,"he teased pushing open the large door. Even the doctor had trouble moving the door but once he opened it enough for the three of them he led the way up a small staircase onto a street that was lined with restaurants.
A few bakeries were at the end of the block, each specializing in their own style. It seemed to go from the healthiest food to the fastest food as you moved down the block and Reese only stood for a moment before he looked at dreamer."What do you think, what would do you well today?"he asked.

Dreamer helped George up and out of his seat before helping him walk, before following the doctor. This time, things went much smoother, the doctor was actually polite and 'D' had started relaxing just a bit. Enough to finally take a good look at what the doctor looked like, it was only then that she realized her heels made her an inch high then him! Without shoe's she was 5'7" and he looked about that height. If George wasn't leaning on her so much, he dwarfed both of them at six feet. Dreamer thought he was rather good looking, but not quite as tall as she usually liked her men. Pushing the thought of what the man actually looked like, she followed him to the lot and finally the restaurants. " I think a good Thai soup would do you well George. The spices and garlic would be nice, and it's a soup. " Well she'd heard those things usually were good to keep colds away, she figured it could help with his flu. Turning to the doctor Dreamer smiled. " What about you doctor, what will you be taking? " She'd almost forgot about him, with all the smells that were making their way over to her, she just wanted to dig into everything.

The doctor considered his options momentarily before pausing over the Thai soup shop and smiled."I will follow the both of you, some soup would do me good."he said before mentioning for them to get a start crossing the street before traffic picked up on it. Reese walked slowly behind the both of them watching the old man and Dreamer carefully making sure they walked steadily and he stayed upright. A couple times he began to sleep and offering a hand Reese helped in navigating him to a both seat inside the Thai restaurant.
Reese took a seat opposite the both of them and looked at the unique menu that was placed in the table. No one bothered them, it was custom to let them think for however long, after all your charged here for just sitting down.
Reese shrugged and when he'd chosen his meal and drink he looked up at Dreamer and George. Both of them looked to be chatting so he kept to himself looking out the small windows above every table. The small amount of light helped relax the guests in the restaurant. It was peaceful, a change to the chaotic renovation in his building.
When the waiter came over he ordered a simple tomato soup with extra spices and a warm tea before handing the lady's attention to Dreamer and George. Looking down at the table he ran his hands along it blinking a couple times. George had a simple case of the flu, Reese figure it'd be gone in a couple days with the antibiotics.

Dreamer nodded, and crossed the street as quickly as she could. George was trying to help her, though it wasn't really working out, she wasn't a very physically strong person. When Reese came to help her she gave him a thankful smile, atleast now they could finally make it over to the restaurant without getting hit by anything. Sure there weren't any cars now, but you never knew what might come charging towards you. Plus, D doubted George would survive a flu as well as getting hit and sent flying to the ground. Old people are so frail, she though bitterly. Then it dawned on her, she didn't even know how old he actually was, not that she had really cared before. Sighing Dreamer picked up a menu and scanned it`s content; George seeing Dreamer pick up the menu did the same. Once the waitress had come about and the doctor had taken his order, George looked up and gave his almost too quietly. " I'll take the coconut milk soup with chicken. " Dreamer looked through the menu again, not really sure on what she wanted. " I'll just take the catfish with green mango salad please. " Thai food always held a warm spot in her heart, the food could always be expected to be out of the ordinary, and it was this unusualness that pulled Dreamer to the food. " So doctor, how long have you been in the field? " Dreamer didn't exactly know what to say, if anything she usually wasn't out and about with complete strangers having lunch; it made for a very awkward atmosphere.
