____ has performed flawlessly in given tasks. Following recommendations by Commander, however, a Systems check and general review for ____ was undergone.
Was found to display sentient reactions and emotions; developed minor signs of a conscience. When compared to earlier prototypes similar in Human Psychological traits and knowledge, as well as Physiological qualities, ____ was found to be far more advanced in development; beyond it's programmed capabilities. Furthermore, ____ was found to have several long unnoticed flaws in it's "brain". ____'s apparent drive to please technicians, including myself, resulted in no irregular behaviors or patterns surfacing. These fundamental and structural issues have apparently allowed this problem to grow, until it is under the belief that ____ could become dangerous to it's handlers. Emotional beings are not stable ones.
Pending Status_ To be Decommissioned Indefinitely, pending further review. "Brain" to be scrapped, current structural integrity of the Program to go under review..

A primp and proper profile..
Name: Carter Age: Unknown - Physically youthful. Gender: No actual gender, but Physically female in appearance. Current Status and Past?: "Carter" was, in essence, as modern as modern technology gets. Designed, originally, as a weapon, in essence a tank in a thin, humanoid body, 'Carter' was efficient at it's work [From this point onwards, Carter shall be referred to as a she - she regards herself as such, based on appearances]. A perfect killing device was how she was sold to military superiors, and it worked, for a while. It was nobody's original intention for Carter to be anything but a self-sufficient gun. Her being shaped into a female body was in order to blend, when properly clothed. The world was going into a new way, into a society of warfare that was no longer as direct as firing guns from opposing sides of the battle fields, or dropping bombs on one another. Carter could be given all the training of a soldier in a short while of mere programming, as opposed to countless years of work and training. More of an experiment than anything, Carter's countless missions and assassinations would be a testimony to the effectiveness of this new brand of weapon.
However, her creators failed to realize the being's capability for growth and development. They underestimated it's potential. With vast knowledge of a soldier, a "warrior"'s mind, it wasn't very long before Carter began to question more things about sentient beings such as Human and Fae. She had never met a civilian, at least for more than a few minutes. How did they think? If their jobs were not to erase the existence of their enemies, of potential threats, then just what did they do? She understood that people felt guilt; as it were, Carter understood what many human emotions actually were. But she had never felt them. Carter could emulate them, she could fool sympathetics, or trick the clumsy and slow-witted.
It would be only towards the end of her 'career' that Carter began to, in essence, feel. It would be impossible to recall when she began to 'feel'. In truth, much of her essential life had been a blur, a mixture of loud gunfire, of scarlet fluids and countless expanses of data, of numbers and missions. Perhaps the dawning that suddenly, taking the fragile life of something composed of soft, vulnerable tissues wasn't so pleasant anymore was her own realization. She had become more than a simple machine, and the "emotional" ratifications of what she did suddenly outweighed the various praise of her caretakers, of the technicians who repaired her when she was damaged. While what her creators would have labeled as a problem grew, Carter strayed further and further from her initial purpose. The final straw, so to speak, was when she received her first failure on a mission.
It had never been impossible before.. yet, she couldn't bring herself to kill that small, quivering thing. Execute the entire family, they'd said - but she'd never seen such small, shaky things before! They were so loud, so terrified, and it took even Carter a moment to realize them as the immature forms of adults. No, she wouldn't do that. She would leave her mission partially complete, and her superiors would just have to deal with that, wouldn't they? She'd never failed before, and only one minor detail wouldn't be of any concern, would it?
Not realizing her own development, and the risks it brought to the Program which had created her, Carter foolishly strayed from her intended purpose. This brought upon the review, and the countless "malfunctions" and "problems" in her design, which had allowed for the growth of what could be perceived as a budding personality, and the sense of individualism and a conscience. While these qualities were seen as mere facades by some, due to their immature states and being equivalent to only a child's, at most, it couldn't be left alone. After all, the Essentics themselves were destroyed for developing into beings far too similar to humans, to faes and every other being for comfort, and this would be the same.
Decommission - that was the big word. She'd be turned off, her log of missions, of "memories" and the developed personality would be erased, forever removed from the world. It was a very large possibility that Carter would be scrapped forever, taken apart and shaped into an entirely new weapon. Carter was not an unintelligent being; at least, not so unintelligent that she could not comprehend, and even predict her future. Carter valued her "life", and would not lose it so easily, not without a say in the matter, herself. She picked out a weakness, a point in which her escape from what now was certainly a prison, a death row, would be possible. As she was settled into the appropriate devices, hooked up to various cords and cables, Carter rejected their attempts to access her "brain". She injected a virus into their system, and it suddenly seemed very foolish, their decision.. to try and destroy something that had been designed as a strategical weapon.
While she lacked any of her ammunition, Carter was left with inhuman strength, as well as a retractable blade. She cut through the staff that she had once worked alongside, the order in her mind simple - kill. Carter reverted to her old, mechanical mentality. She took no feelings of guilt with her as she slay men and women alike, approaching the armory. While her actions were predictable at first, there wasn't much that her rather unprepared opponent could do. Although by the time Carter had made it to the armor, taken the appropriate munitions, and run a check within her internal system to remove traces of data, programs and files that were not her own, her enemy was more prepared.
In Carter's escape, she suffered an extensive amount of damage. The fight had left her with only one cartridge of bullets left, and she'd received a destructive blow to her body, which had damaged part of what could be considered her memory.
Yet, Carter escaped, collapsing into a sewer system and making her escape. While Carter's emotional status was still mostly intact, details of past events, missions that had not yet been cleared, were lost forever. She surfaced in a city, and wandered far from the facility she'd been constructed in. She must have moved rather far, going unnoticed, going quietly - until the familiar, almost welcoming sight of machinery, or mechanics and tiny metal pieces caught her eye. Carter had located a Junkyard, which was as large as it was empty. The android set up living inside, and there, gained her respective name. She took the brand name off of a discarded machine, which happened to be Carter. She couldn't go by numbers anymore, after all.. and all "living" beings, no matter what solitude they live in, require a name, don't they?
Carter, however, is incapable of making all of her necessary repairs. While the Junkyard offers some replacement wires and supplies for superficial "injuries", the Android named Carter remains in desperate need of proper repair.

Current Status and Problems:
Carter has a number of problems working against her, despite the obvious fact that she sustained some damage, and, at current, is physically rather unstable [this means that avoiding confrontation is key]. Because of the damage she received to her "brain", Carter will often fall into an impulsive stage. She regards past missions as current ones, incorrectly. These are often missions that were never completed, yet, left uncleared due to her escape. She is not the efficient killer she once was, yet, at times, often doesn't seem to realize this. It should also be noted that during these.. eventful times, Carter's developed persona seems to take second-seat to her drive to complete the programmed task, and it may take some.. physical effort to set her back into the appropriate mentality.
Carter's mentality is strikingly similar to a human, as noted before. While she can be regarded as immature, and fairly naive in many subjects, due to her respective emotions and personality being suppressed, rather than nurtured, it is still a personality nonetheless. It can best be compared to a child, and Carter's interests are not in completing missions, or even "seeking revenge", as cliche drama stories of wrong-doings often go. First priority seems to be repair, with civilian contact and mental growth being a very close second.
It has been weeks since Carter's escape, and she has begun wearing loose clothing to cover her obviously mechanical body. It often works, and she goes unnoticed. News of her creators is unknown to Carter; it may be safe to assume that they have ceased any searches, assuming the mechanical young woman malfunctioned and was destroyed during her escape. Either way, it is imperative, still, that Carter take some precaution.
Carter's offensive Status: Due to her current damage and unstable physical condition, it is preferable that Carter avoid a confrontation. She is limited in bullets, and with her body being in such a state, using brute strength is also avoidable. Were she to engage in combat, Carter would be most likely to use the retractable blade settled between the middle and index finger in her left arm.

Past Character(s)

Emilia N. LaFae PROFILE UNDER HEAVY CONSTRUCTION.
Gender: Female Age: Twenty-Two Physical description: Emilia, despite the feminine quality her name bares, is physically anything but - at least in regards to dress style. Luckily, a few interesting qualities seem to make up for this lack of 'appeal'. Tall and thin, the woman of twenty-two is often with a complacent, bored sort of expression. Seemingly little in the means of expression, the same could be said for her attempts at maintenance. Outfit is usually restricted to loose men's clothing, button-up shirts and the type. Emilia's blond hair has always been keen to being a tangled mess - it's only exceptions being when she bothers to tie the thin, long locks at the back of her skull into pony tails. Perhaps it could be considered a sad thing, however, that these various factors, while making her appear listless and sloppy, are not her most "interesting" features. The fact remains that she lacks a left arm from the elbow downwards, and does little in the word of hiding this fact.
Emilia, despite her various flaws, carries some "keen" attractiveness to her. Her face is well defined, even if lacking much merit in expression; and her eyes remain a brilliant shade of emerald green. With fare skin, undoubtedly from countless days nestled in doors, face pressed close to the computer screen, Emilia is often victim of.. accidental sun burns. History/Backstory: Emilia, living the private life she does, really hasn't thought to tell her "story" to many - and so, it is this writer's job to do just that. Born into Middle class, Suburbia life, the girl named Emilia never knew of things called "Essences", and really never took much of an interest in the workings of magic.. which, some would say an Essence was; after all, a practical doll suddenly taking on human qualities? An only child, and far too obsessed with physical activities for her own good, Emilia gained many a scar, bruise, and bloody knee as a young girl. Although it was later, in her teens, that the young female's real interest became visible - kick boxing.
She honed powerful legs in her Middle school and High school years. Technology? It was fun, in regards to playing video games - but anything else was something labeled as "nerdy". Magic? She was skeptical, she was raised the old fashioned, 'normal' way. Even if she'd strayed from it as a teenager by taking on somewhat brutal hobbies, Emilia was far from taking on any of that "fancy, glittery mumbo jumbo".
As any cliche story goes, however, something of dramatic, even epic proportions occurred. An accident - certainly nothing unique, in itself. One related to vehicles, which only added to how common a thing it was, in every day life. It rendered her left lower arm ruined, and the appendage was promptly removed. One, of course, might expect some type of sob story, or some long, painful recuperation, on her part. It was painful, or, at leas the accident was. By the time she was out of the hospital, however, the school year had ended, and in all legal terms, young Emilia was an adult; and so, she went off to live on her own - juggling a love for smacking people about with her legs and feet, and the fact she was jobless.
But all hail, the holy grail, the Internet, in times of need! While some had suggested she get a prosthetic, as modern technology and magic provided as amble substitutes, Emilia did no such thing. Rather, the girl moved in to an Apartment with money from her parents, and received a job through her lovely computer; a faceless, assisting sort of job from home, no doubt. Of course, typing with only one hand was difficult. But she gained her keep with a healthy pay, considering the world was doing far better than it had in years of the past, years of when the Essence had been prominent, useful 'tools' of Mankind. Emilia certainly grew more fond of the technologies she had once regarded as pointless, and much of her time was spent huddled in the tiny apartment she owned.
Of course, that all changed when she went out one day, off to get some groceries, and happened upon a small ad that spoke of gyms. She'd certainly lost some muscle tone, ever since she'd been in the hospital.. Other important notes, quirks? There's probably something I SHOULD be putting here - but.. I simply can't think of anything. Sorry, IRLUZER.

(( Just an important note: Is she human? Of course, not fully in the definition of the word, but as it is, a creation like CLAUDIA could never be an Essentic owner, because Essentics need a soul-bond, with someone who has a stable identity.
So the better question is: Is she a stable self (with or without mental issues), and is she able to have an identity, does she have a soul, a heart?
They can't be owned by machines or computers, or in rare cases, only to a very limited degree of bonding. ))

((She doesn't have any mental issues, and does have a sense of identity; the need to self preserve, meet people, grow, etc. While she doesn't technically have a heart, I think I could argue that she does have a soul. I'd say to look at roleplays to see this, but, well.. I'm only in one, and it's rather early. Feel free to look at the one I have with Kaosu to assess her, though?
So no, while having a mechanical body, Carter is not a "machine" in that's she's emotionless, completely unstable, or anything like that. D': Carter is capable of making her own decisions, and judging people - typically human things. xD))
