"Hyuga is...I am from the Hyuga clan...but truthfully...I am glad I lost them here..." She lowered her chin to the rock she lay on, a sadness enveloping her now. Even her tail sagged as well as her webbed ears.

Rolling to his stomach, Brigadier raised his head, brows and ears up in curiosity, "Oh? Why would you be glad to lose your family?"

Hinata looked over at him, then half closed her eyes. "I'm useless to them...my cousin hates me...he tried to kill me...my father thinks I'm useless...even my younger sister hates me..."

Brigadier frowned, and nodded his head sympathetically. "Doesn't sound like too friendly a family... Who do you stay with then?"

"I'm sure you've seen the most beautiful places in these lands then," he said with a small smile. "Generally, water attracts the most interesting landscapes, I think... Though... That sounds lonely."

She stopped a few feet from shore, the question catching her fairly off guard. "No...it is not worth it..." She rested her chin on the shore and sighed softly.

"Hm.." he said, though it was half sigh. He supposed that it would be quite depressing, and her confirmation of the thought made him glad that he had a home, despite his very rare appearance at it.

No words formed a reply as he spoke, though her ears flicked slightly. Her eyes closed to attempt to hold back the tears that now threatened. This whole conversation was bringing up such painful memories...

Brigadier watched her carefully, his ears drooping slowly as he noticed what she was doing. "Oh..." he said quietly, looking away. "I didn't mean to stir anything up or to offend you," he continued.

Hinata looked up abruptly and sat up, waving her paws in a dismissive manner. "No no. It's alright..." She offered a soft smile, the tears either gone or forgotten now. "I just...don't really have...anybody to talk to..."
