Okay, well, once again, I am venturing onto the I Am Me board, to talk about my latest Paranoia.
Okay, set the scene: In good old Blighty, we do work experience in Year 10, the year I'm in. What this basically entails is we go to a place, and then usually do the stuff no-one else wants to, like making tea, coffee, filing, pulling things to the front of shelves... Whatever.
Now, what's special about my placement is that I am working in the local constituency office for the Liberal Democrats, the political party that our MP belongs to. So, I expect to be making the tea, etc etc. However, I am TERRIFIED that I'll c**k it up. And if I c**k it up when doing something like filing, well... It could be bad. Very bad.
I guess this will be a good first view of a career I am considering taking. Either this, or Law. But still, I'm terrified.
Okay, I think I'm done. I'm gonna finish watching The Spoony One, then be off to sleep. Thanks for listening Sniper Guild.
Yes, I love you too.
No, I love you.
Okay, goodnight.

Well, first day's done. Having lived through a good eight-hour shift in the Lib Dem constituency office, I am feeling a LOT calmer. Eight hours of actually alright filing, letter replying, and looking at the concerns of the constituents. For years to come, "Dear BLANK, thank you for your email on Breastfeeding" Will make me giggle.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there was One, and only one bad thing. One stright ******** HOUR OF GODDAMN PHOTOCOPYING! Seriously. I stood infront of the damn photocopier for an entire hour. Copying the SAME DAMN FEW PAGES OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. But then I did some nice filing. It was pretty interesting.

Haha bring an iPod. Photocoping is lame - I worked at my mom's office photocopying over winter and spent 8hrs a day coping. It was only for 3 days though. But it was boring as s**t.
Anyways, work is always nerve wracking before you start, but you can get a hang of it really quickly and then soon you'll be a pro!

Wow, I've sorta neglected this sweatdrop
So, anyway, my first week is over. My second day went fine, nothing much new. Same with wendesday really.
Thursday was different. Thursday I had a GCSE exam, and a proper one. Thankfully it was just a biology one, which I could quite easily get almost full marks with no revision, but still, important exam, Gaaah.
Friday was an incredibly good day. It was a co-worker of mine's birthday on the Wednesday, but she hadn't been in as it was her day off. So, I took in a cake, and shared it. It was a carrot cake my mum made. Very nice. But yeah, it was fairly mundane, except for when me, David Howarth MP and his Press Officer, Lesley, went to one of the local schools for a press-type thing for the "Walk to School Week" next week. Other than that, it was checking emails, and eating lunch. For the last hour or so, I was stuffing letters, and I was also watching The Apprentice: You're Fired and The Spoony One's Terror TRAX thing.
All in all, Good week, got on with everyone well, hopefully next week will be more of the same.

Okay, right now I'm posting from work. During time I should be working. One small problem: THERE IS NOTHING TO DO. Other than post.
So yeah, today, like friday, I had to go get lunch from the local Tescos. For some reason, one of my collegues, who is also the mum of a good friend of mine, asked me to go get some satsumas. And they over charged me. Stupid thing thought they were mandarins. Stupid self-service...
So yeah, today I have been doing little other than replying to a scarce few emails and watching/listening to The Spoony One whilst packing letters. I half feel like nicking some of the house of commons paper and an envelope, and sending a fake letter to someone. I AM THAT BORED.
Well, Thank's for listening chiiiildren! This is Three Do- Wait, no. This is Hattie, signing off.
(@Tedie It isn't. At least, not for most of the year. 3nodding )
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to say, we got a crackpot conspiracy theory today, about some guy who apparently intends to kill a load of MPs. Big load of crap I say, as it's horribly spelt, no grammar and all in all it seems to be a huge crock of s**t. I would post it on here, but I'm pretty sure that'd be illegal... sweatdrop

...Wow. It's over. My two weeks in the constituency office of David Howarth, MP for Cambridge is done. Two weeks in the office of an MP during a huge political scandal is ********! I left my plate there!
So yeah, today was my last day of work experience. Today I got to sleep in, until about 9AM. Then, I got up, got dressed blah blah blah, and at 10 I was back at school, waiting for Mr Howarth.
When he arrived at ten past, he went to speak to the year nines, and I got to stand at the back. Then we went and had tea and biscuits with the principal. Tea was good.
Then we went to a playgroup, who had an issue, but it had been resolved, and so David took some photos of him with the little 2-4 year olds. There was a girl from school there, a sorta-friend. Also, she's hot as hell, so a little bonus for me.
Then we went back to the constituency office, where I did filing, stuffing letters, and watching Have I Got News For You. Then we cut and ate the cake I'd brought in. It was yummy.
Then, finally, it was over. My two weeks were gone, with nothing to show for it but a box of chocolates, an offer to have a trip round the house of commons, and a visitor sticker from my school.
All in all, it was good, but eh.
