Here's what I say on the subject: BSL is for ignorant idots.
scream What stinks most is that there's A LOT of them out there.
cry A major part of the problem is that there are SO many bad, abusive, neglectful dog owners around that it is causing the destruction of the reputation of a lot of dog breeds; the few aweful dog attacks that occur (1/100th of violent crimes in the U.S. - very small %) get over-the-top publicity which makes it hard for non-dog people to be unbiased of the issue so then they are unable to think of a less ignorant solution.
