Alright, I need some serious help guys. And I'll try not to break down while I type. Anyway, I've been a Mormon for two years now. I've fallen in love with this religion because for once in my life, it feels like I found something that's true and stable for me. I have had some discussions with friends who aren't Mormons and I've tried to explain things correctly. Except every time the topic of religion is brought up, I get nervous and scared, mainly because I'm afraid I'll say something wrong or they'll get mad and end the friendship. And I'll admit, I had a friend judge me, saying that (and she's anti-Twilight) since I'm Mormon, like Stephenie Meyer, I'll end up as bad as her. We haven't talked for a couple weeks now, she won't talk to me. But, I've got a friend I've been talking to. I won't say names. Anyway, he's in the army and he's in Japan, and the more we talk, the more I grow to like him and vise versa. Except....he's not Mormon. I want to ask him about our religion, but I'm scared that if I bring it up now that things will get awkward between us and our friendship will start to disappear. And not only that, but one of my friends suggested that maybe he was brought into my life to bring me back to the Baptist religion. Is it to soon to bring it up or am I just a coward?

Hmmm... I have to agree that you pray about it. never goes wrong there. Then do something. faith is action and you have to do something.
It's normal to be scared when trying to talk religion to those you care about. Heh, I've had a friend since 8th grade I know I should share somethings with but am still too scared to tell her much about my faith (talked about somethings, but mostly I want to refer her to missionaries anonymously). Thing is when you try to talk to them about it, follow the spirit and not necessarily a planed speech. If you don't have the answer for them off the top of your head, call someone on your cell (girl in my ward did this and got the answer she needed from the 1st councilor's wife). It's alright not to know everything, but remember you know enough. And it's true. That should be enough for you.

I have a sister currently in japan. I'll ask her what her ward is or the missionary's number is for that area if you like. And I know a few RMs from japan too so if you want help that way... *shrug*

What's wrong with Stephanie Myers anyway? Don't follow celebs and don't read twilight either (comedy adventures with dragons is my faves, teen vamp romances... meh...) so I have no idea what's wrong with being like her.
