I find the whole thing abosolutely ludicrist. More people have died from the normal flu. There was such a panic at my school that one girl confused her cold for the swine flu and utterly lost it. I think her life was more shortened by all of hat fear and stress than her cold.

i told my mom the other day that my sister was sick with the flu, and my mom started on about swine flu. i did my best to assure her that in northern new hampshire it was highly unlikely that my sister had swine flu.

We asked my father-in-law, who works at a hospital, about it and he also says it's just a bunch of crap. Granted, it's real, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. And he says those mask, don't do s**t.

We were just due for another media hyped story, that's all.

Media fear mongering, it's all that it is.

I like how it's "seven confirmed dead" in a population of 109,955,400 (July 200 cool . It's like a thimble of water in the sea. It's not a big deal.

A ex co-worker of mine is in Mexico right now. She updated her Facebook stating so, and all the comments were "OMG SWINE FLU11!!!!" and her reply back:

"No one has masks, it was just a big hoax to keep the yanks away! I'm off to the beach!"
