Running a hand through his hair - or what he had of it - he let it settle at the base of his neck, eyes skimming the pamphlet held before him in the other hand. Well... nothing for it, he figured stuffing the paper back into a pocket. He would wait for their response.
Stretching his arms, back popping, Chris let his body flop back into the lush grass. Blue eyes closed and simply enjoying the light breeze that played across the medows and lake of Lucky Island. Much better than his rocky and hot home island, he decided.
A splash and the soft pattering of feet on grass not far off had Chris cracking open an eye, only to get a view full of Cale starring down at him quizzically. Raising an eyerow he pulled himself back to a sitting position, running a hand over Cales' shell. "I'd join you, if I hadnt just recently dyed my hair. Dont want it fading just yet, do I?" Winking down at Cale the squirtle positivly huffed what exactly he though of that. "Fine, fine. Only for a bit though..." Trailing off Chris hefted himself to his feet, already pulling shirt and hoodie over his head and tossing them to the ground. Absentmindedly clickling lip piercings against his teeth as he eyed the water Cale had slid near ripple-free into he shruged. Taking a step back before tossing himself into the water.
Reaching a hand out to gra onto Cales shell he allowed himself to be dragged through the water effortlessly.

He moved quietly over the underbrush of the small cluster of trees, following a rather skittish Torchic. It's legs moved back and forth so fast they were a blur, as it darted back and forth, weaving a path ahead. He let the small Torchic, dubbed Riku, lead him on this morning stroll. It was nice outside, and he knew all too well that Riku needed a chance to roam around freely somewhere other than the metal confides of his 'home'.
As they reached the edge of the trees a wide meadow opened up before them. The warm air all around, and the tall grass to play in. 'Riku must be in heaven.' he thought pleasantly to himself as he quietly looked over the meadow. His eyes fell upon a trail of grass rustling along in a rather speedy path, making it's way towards the lake. A small smile crept to his lips when he realized the grass was much taller than Riku.
"Riku." His voice barely rose above speaking level. He frowned when the path continued, unaffected by his 'calling'. He sighed and slowly made his way after the small Torchic. One way, or another, it was going to realize it was heading straight for water.

Having hefted himself out of the water Chris sat, feet dangling into the lake, kicking up water at Cale while the squirtle retaliated by spitting a spray of bubbles back at him. Sniggering he leaned back, hands planted behind him for support.
An eyebrow rose as his eyes followed the, upside-down, path of grass russling behind him, soon joined by the other as he caught sight of the torchic causeing the movement.
Quietly as possible Chris rolled to his stomach, reaching out a hand to his messenger bag, fingers curling around one of the empty pokeballs within it. Eyes sliding back to Cale, grin splitting his face, he motioned with a head jerk for the squirtle to get up and out of the lake and down to buisness.
"Now!" Chris whispered once Cale had slidded up along side of him. Taking a large gulp of air Cale sent a jet of water straight for the wandering torchic.

Riku skittered along excitedly, until he reached the edge of the grass. Once he caught sight of the lake ahead he forced himself to a halt, only to be shot head on by a a jet of water. Riku was still for a moment, before panicking and zooming back the way he came. through the grass, screaming.
Togusa's slow speed picked up when he heard Riku in distress. His many brass-metal accessories clinking together as he moved towards the stream of moving grass, that was on it's way towards him and getting louder as it did so. When it reached his feet it collided with his leg and Togusa bent down to check up on the frantic Torchic, only to find it soaking wet.
"Did you fall in?" He mocked the little chick.
