The months had passed. Blissful despite Derrik's warnings on his nature. He had abandoned all responsibility and left, finding a small cottage on the outskirts of a town to decorate and call home. It was comfortable, with a sort of homey mis-matching feel, due to the furniture of different sorts. Jade loved it, he absolutely adored his home to the fullest degree. He took pride in cooking and cleaning it, in being just as anyone else would be, the past was done and dusted; shut in a drawer never to be opened again. The present was for living, not the past. He despised looking back on things.
The weather lately had been overcast, and finally, at about midnight last night, the heavens had opened and the rain had started. It still rained now at midday and Jade watched it out of the window, elbow deep in the washing up last night's dishes. It was odd how one could change so dramatically, how being pampered wasn't missed. He loved working for how he lived, keeping house was oddly relaxing when it didn't get overbearing, he'd only really blown up once or twice when mud had been tracked in or clothes thrown about despite the presence of the washing basket. He sighed and wiped the bubbles off of his hands with a cloth, watching the rain get heavier and pelt relentlessly against the window. Where was Derrik? He hadn't really being keeping tabs on the other today, he had been too busy cleaning up after letting things build up for a few days.
"Oh well, he'll turn up." Jade murmured to himself, making his way from the kitchen and up the creaky wooden stairs with a smile. He loved how old his house was, all it's little faults and creaky floorboards, despite being woken in the night sometimes by someone stepping on them. He moved into the bathroom and flopped on the bed, tired and ready to take a nap. Brooke and Derrik were probably together and Calentze had yet to arrive, so...He shut his eyes lazily and slung an arm over his eyes, letting out a content sigh. He could sleep for an hour or two, if sleep claimed him, that is.

Derrik arrived at his home. Brooke had really become quite the Daddies boy. Its amazing what a family can do to a person. The once promiscuous Derrik, who was more shifty than the wind, had grounded himself to Brooke and Jade. He was a kind hearted father and a gentle lover. He did still have his fun, just had far more less often.
He slipped into the bedroom and crawled into the bed and laid on his side next to jade and brushed the side of his face. A smile curled on Derriks lips as he then wrapped his arm around him, and leaned and whispered to his ear. "Im home beautiful."

Jade cracked his eyes open lightly when he heard the door downstairs open. He sighed and rolled over, curling up a little as in his half-asleep state he registered it as just being the wind. He grabbed a pillow and bundled it into his arms, too used to clinging Derrik while he slept. He mumbled and groaned, shifted closer to the touch on his face. He cracked his eyes open again and sleepily smiled at Derrik.
"Welcome back, love." He mumbled, shifting forward to press a kiss to his lips, sliding his arms around the other. "How was your day with Brooke? The rain didn't bother you much did it?" He asked, flicking his gaze to the window, glad it had let up finally. He peered around, half-expecting their little 'child' to pop up and say hi, but then he wasn't sure on the other's view of going into his parent's bedroom. He liked this place better then the outer palace he had in his homeland, it was more his and Derrik's.

Derrik kissed Jade's cheek and rolled him over and started to rub his two fingers on Jade's stomach. Derrik had a huge grin on his face, one that Jade tended to keep there. "Oh it was wonderful. Brooke really enjoyed going out and seeing the new pond and racing the fishes through out. He found a little fish egg, and he went to his pond out back to place it there and take care of it. He really is to cute..."
Derrik leaned forward and nuzzled against Jade. "I think its time I take you out though. You have been locked up in this house for so long. And we haven't had a proper date in quite some time. Where do you want go? Anywhere. Your wish is my command."

Jade smiled warmly at Derrik, his gaze flicking down to watch the finger's rubbing at his stomach. He then lifted his gaze to look at his face, smiling widely at the grin the other was showing him. "Oh, that sounds cute." He murmured, smiling. "Brooke has his own baby to look after then." He finished, his arms sliding around Derrik's neck while he nuzzled his face against the Djinn's neck.
He shut his eyes when the other nuzzled against him, sitting up slightly, his elbows supporting him. "A date, you say? Hmm...I think..." He looked thoughtful, chuckling at his choice of words. "Oh really? This won't end me up as pocket goblin food again, will it?" He teased, brushing his fingers through the Djinn's dark hair. "How about we just go for a sunset walk? You can spruce it up and make it more fun as you see fit." He pressed a kiss to his lips then, briefly, before pulling back slightly. "What about Brooke though?"
