I forgot. Metallica-Last Caress. I love the song to begin with, but Metallica did it well.

As long as we're on the subject of Metallica's covers, I have to say that I enjoy their cover of Thin Lizzy's "Whiskey in the Jar," despite them looking like grade-A douches in the related video.

Only other really good metal cover I can think of right now is Iced Earth - Hallowed Be Thy Name.

Uhhh...that's not "Hallowed..."

Having heard the ACTUAL Machine Head cover, I think they took a sludgy nu-dump on one of the greatest metal anthems ever written. xp Oooh, I just remembered another good cover of Hallowed.

I'm uhh... Vlad... and I'm new here, that's why you haven't met me. I joined like... 2 or 3 days ago.

Oh, and Hallowed... love it! Love mostly anything by Iron Maiden, cover by Solitude Aeturnus is amazing, I watched it, well... listened as there was nothing to watch, totally going to have to go look into more of their stuff.

Realize that I could have done a lot worse and gotten the Cradle cover of it (unless you like Cradle, then it's not a problem). I didn't think it was that a bad of a cover. I like the version you put up better though I will willingly admit.

Hey, my opinion isn't the end-all, be-all word on the quality of a song. Not by a long shot. Don't let my dislike for the cover affect your judgment if you like it. razz

Oh no, I legitimately like that cover better than the Machine Head one, but I still like the Machine Head one is what I was saying. I was also saying I've heard covers that people think are a lot worse.
