The day was rather overcast, the grey sky and the threat of rain keeping a fair number of people indoors, some however, of the ones who had stepped out their homes to brave the weather had settled for a late lunch in the small tearoom that was run by Faythe, Nagendra’s guardian. There were only the two of them, Faythe and Jayce that really worked there, so they were kept rather busy when the tearoom started to fill a sit had today, the neat tables full in all but a very few cases.
It wasn’t really the way Nagendra liked to spend the day, settled at one of the few remaining unused tables on his own, poking a couple of neat little pastry treats around his plate in a rather bored manner. He wanted to go out, he wanted to go shopping… he needed some new curtains for his room, his current ones were dull… and some new bedding, and he wanted some new books as well, some of the pretty old looking ones, he wouldn’t read them.. he just wanted them, oh he was so bored.
Why did Faythe have to work? Ugh. He was his guardian! He should have been better than working in such a slow, mundane job… he should have been spending all his time with him, Nagendra… not talking to these dreadfully boring people who came to sit and simper over the cakes and tea. Ugh. The china wasn’t even pretty… all… blue… red would have been better.
The Blue Room however, was far more interesting than simply sitting up in his room on his own, he’d prefer to settle at this table than totally on his own. At least he had people to stare at here, stare and scowl at… maybe if he made them uncomfortable enough they’d leave? Oh he should just tell them to go away! If they’d go he could have Faythe’s attention again… they were all so old and boring! Even Faythe was too old… why weren’t there any prettier people here..? People he could actually talk to… he needed Faythe to work somewhere better… somewhere ‘his type’ of people worked… he let his green gaze trail over to the door… come on… admit someone interesting… the next person had to be interesting, or he was going to push them straight back out through one of the front windows…

Well, interesting was most certainly one of the words that could be applied to both Ryelle and her guardian. The tiny girl less so, though today she was all done up in a light, elegant dress, trimmed in oh so very much lace, just the sort of thing she was fond of. If Tiis could afford it, she'd talk, wheedle, or beg her way into it. She'd seen the tearoom on one of her outings with Tiis, shopping and the like. They hadn't had time to shop, which had caused something of a tantrum on her part, but Tiis had promised to bring her at some point in the future. Now that Amashen was all settled in their house, Ryelle saw that there was no good excuse for procrastinating the trip any further.

Waltzing in the door, head tilted upwards just so in that smug sort of way that indicated she was in control, Ryelle's shoes clicked happily on the linoleum, the girl's hand fastened tightly to the wrist of one less than happy pink-haired male.

Tiis could best be described as miserable. This was one of the last places that he wanted to be, and whilst he would have sent the girl on her own, he knew just how much trouble that had turned out to be in the past, and he had no desire for her to run up charges of such monumental amounts ever again. He was dressed nicely, in something besides jeans or leather today, though it was still black, his only solace. Long, and indeed very pink hair was tied back, revealing a pair of irritably blazing blue eyes. Oh yes, he wished that a hole would form in the earth and suck him off to another dimension just now...or that 'Shen would kidnap him. That would be fun too. Unlikely, but fun. Standing awkwardly just inside the door, he rather wondered what on earth they were supposed to do now, as Tiis had never in his existence set foot inside a tea room. Ryelle, however, was gazing about in wide-eyed glee, looking much as other children might had they been let loose in a candy store. Ah hell.

Faythe had paused in his administrations at the till for a few minutes to watch his young ward.. Nagendra had been quiet for a while now, and that in itself was... well, a little unnerving actually. The young scent tended to be on to speak his mind as regularly as possible.. especially when he was placed in a situation where he was less than happy.... and being all but ignored, except for the attentions of older women, the ones who didn't balk at his strang appearance, the horns and tail, and the occasional comment from Faythe himself, well.. this was one of thos situatoins...

Nagendra had clearly seen something though, and Faythes eyes followed the scents green gaze across the room, customers, more of them.. he cast a slightly worried look around the small tea room, he'd never expected it to take off as well as it had here, it was a surprise, a pleasant one, but a surprise none the less, there were however, not many tables left, and the few that there were, were over by his own little ward... he'd been trying to stop Nagendra disturbing too many people...oh well, little could be done now... with a small smile slipping onto his face the rather slim man made his way through the tables and over to the door to greet the man and the small child.. "Good afternoon," his words were quiet, but he was trying to make his tone warm, "Welcome to The Blue Room, my name is Faythe, just the two of you today..?" He smiled at the young child, she was rather a sweet looking thing he had to admit, and then up at the man... wow.. that was some hair.. it put his own wine red hair quite to shame..

Ryelle, quite distracted by her surroundings, had been perusing the decor, the tables, and of course...the patrons. Finally, however, her gaze landed on Nagendra, and her smile widened. Ah, he was different, and different was always very interesting. Instinct told her that he was like her, as her delicate nose could pick out the new aroma. She had one, he had one, and she wanted to meet him. Well, if she was allowed to, but she didn't think her guardian would cause her much trouble. Not today at least. When Faythe approached, she turned her brilliant smile on him, rosebud lips curving upwards. "Hello! I'm Ryelle..." She greeted, holding up a hand for the other, her tiny fingers clad in lace gloves to match her outfit.

Tiis sighed heavily, figures he would get a kid that wasn't an ounce shy, even when such a thing could come in handy. Smiling despite himself, he nodded, "Yes, it's just the two of us." Not that they hadn't invited 'Shen, but that particular individual had replied something to the effect that he would rather have dirt for lunch than accompany Tiis and his lace-clad charge. All for the best, Tiis supposed, 'Shen and Ryelle tended to bicker like a couple of toddlers. It was appalling, really...that amongst the three of them HE was the mature one.

Faythe smiled again and reached down to shake her hand in a very gentlemanly manner, "It's very nice to meet you, Miss Ryalle," he stated, she seemed the type to like little courtesies, the clothing and the very outgoing manner seemed to suggest that and well, after doing with Nagendra and his own version of etiquette, well, meeting a child with at least a perception of manners was encouraging. Maybe there was help for the draconic child yet..? He wouldn't hold his breath of course.. "Allow me to show you to a seat.." back over by the till he could almost feel the exasperated look Jayce was giving him, the place was full and he was talking yes yes, it was probably unfair, but it was polite. With a nod he straightened again and moved across the room to one of the free tables, one of the ones by Nagendra... he shot the boy a look... once that Nagendra knew well by this point.. "I hope this one is okay, I'm afraid we're rather busy today..." The smile on Faythe's face as he turned from the boy to the other man was apologetic, "I'll give you a moment to look at the menu before I come back.." With that he had to hurry away to help Jayce and the one girl they had on today with a back log of tea's wating ot be taken out. They should hire more people really... he ruffled the red headed child's hair as he passed him.

The look Nagendra shot Faythe was rather venomous, but it was gone from his face ever so quickly as he turned his attention to the two who had been assigned to the table near him.. the man was, well, nothing short of pretty, his hair was long, Faythe should grow his... and he had a nice Face... it made the scent want to talk to them, to make them like him.. the girl as well looked like a little treasure, a doll maybe.. her hair was a lovely colour and he felt for a moment the almost overpowering urge to go and touch it.. he managed to quell it though.. Fayth tended to give him the silent treatment when he did things like that... he hated that.. he kept his green eyes on her none the less... she was... different... after waiting for just a couple of moment he finally decided to speak. "Hello there.." He stated, his voice was soft, friendly, and ever so slightly lilted with the very smallest hiss. "Lovely little shop, isn't it..?"

Tiis was the one to respond first, grinning easily, "Ah, thank you, no, this shouldn't be a problem, not a'tall." Tiis could just...order himself something and then pretend that he wasn't here, that would be nice. He was pleased further when they were seated near Nagendra. As wondrously garrulous as Ryelle was, she was quite likely to try and start up a conversation, if the other odd brat didn't do so first. Just one less thing he had to worry about...he could plan his evening with 'Shen from this point on...that was a far more pleasant series of thoughts than dwelling on the reality of being trapped in a teahouse with a pint-sized wench who took great delight in twisting him about her little finger. Picking up the menu, he hid behind it, creating a makeshift wall between himself and Ryelle. She could order whatever...he didn't have to tell her to do something she probably planned to do already.

Her attention was quickly tugged towards the other Scent, however, and she turned about in her chair, one hand gripping the edge of it. Smiling at Nagendra's words, she nodded, "It's very pretty! I like it. Do you belong with him?" She jabbed a finger towards where Faythe had gone. From what she deduced, he was the other's guardian. Hmm...very interesting. Was this Scent part snake or something? But that didn't explain the horns...peering at them, she also had the terrible, near-insatiable desire to touch that which was unfamiliar.

Nagendra let his green eyes flick once to the other scents guardian.. he was even less communicative than Faythe it seemed.. why on earth was he hiding behind the menu... he nearly went to ask that exact thing, but the girl speaking caught his attention and pushed the notion from his mind... she was far more interesting anyway, he'd not had very much of a chance to talk to them, girls that was, Faythe's friends were all a lot older, but none of them had children.. well, all but one.. but that was a boy and he was the odiously boring little thing ever... he wouldn't even share his things... and that was just rude. Not that Nage was one for sharing his own belongings.. but that didn't really figure into the equation.

With a smile tugging onto his face he lfixed his attention back on the girl, the little doll as he was beginning to think of her of with all the layer sof lace, at least she knew how to dress nicely... his own clothing was far toop plain for his own tastes... but Faythe, sadly.. held the purse strings very tightly or Nagendra would have done something about it long before now.

"I'd say he blongs to me..." The red haired child replied with a smile at the pretty girl. "He looks after me though, if that's what you mean. And he own's this place as well.." He didn't really think too much of the place himself... but the girl had looked so enamoured with the tea shop when she'd stepped in that he'd supposed that would be a good way to start to win her over. She had to like him after all, everyone had to like him, it was the way things were supposed to be. Who deserved adoration and respect more than him...? "I'm Nagendra,"he shook his head to knock his bangs out of the way of his eyes for a moment, though they tumbled almost straight back where they had been previously, "Who are you..? You look like a doll.. one of the.. really expensive china ones that you see in the glass cabinets..." he hated things being behind glass... he wanted to be able to pick them up if he wanted..
