Question about the new pink dragons

I am very confused. I was told by someone that you don't need to wait until the new pink dragons grow wings to tell if the hatchlings are male or female. They have different sprites for the first stage hatchlings. Is this true?

That is not true. All first stage light pink hatchlings look the same. Once they gender the male will have both front feet facing the ground where as the female will still have one front foot turned like the first stage hatchling. Take a look at the hatchlings in the sanctuary to see the difference.

I have bred a couple of pinks and have ended up with two different shades of pink. Which is which?

is it still possible to get the old pink dragons as well? in the sanctuary i've seen old and new pink sprites. is it random as to which sprite you get? o0

I think you have to breed to get the older version of the pinks. I'm not sure, though.
