xXTheBlackSheepXx A few years ago, a TON of people did music from Pirates of the Caribbean. It was pretty annoying because everyone sucked at it. ... ... were doing pirates of the caribbean this year... sad

BekahBear218 there aer a lot of those... but no matter how many times the phantom of the opera has been done and will be done, i still want to be in that show... in facct i thought up a phantom show, drew out costumes for the band, gaurd, and soloists, and drew out the props.... the only thing i didnt do was write out the drill (that was in my head... and i dont have those computer programsd, or patience to do it on my own) My school is known for their rendition of Phantom of the Opera! That year is LEGEND at my school!

Okay, here's your tour of your regular Texas small schools around here.
Pirates Of The Caribbean. Narnia. Smoke On The Water. Malaguena.
etc.
I'm SO glad we pick more original shows. xD

kerushii-sushi Eccentric Chica MARCUS HIGH SCHOOL. They get tons of money for props and costumes. It's so ridiculous. They have plumes for every occasion. They even have props with electrical wiring in them. >:[ They ALWAYS win Area Competitions too. I suspect that they bribe the judges. Sounds like Mason High School in my area. sad if its a private school then most of them are like that like father ryan (although maby not to that extent. but they have loads of $$$... they had tredmills in their show last year... and mini trapolines... they beat us in every show exept grand nats.. and politics probably had a lot to do with it -_-) [[[no offence to father ryan, yall are pretty good but the props went a little insain]]]

Did you see their show from the 07-08 year? They had an entire different marching uniform with matching shoes and plumes for each movement. Then again it was only one person but that was crazy. It was WAAAAYYY over the top. But it was still kind of cool. The Botanica one had a giant lady bug.
xP Gosh. I'm SOOOO glad my High School isn't in the same region as them and LD Bell. We could barely afford colored panels this year.

I really hate it when people try to intimidate other bands before a show (especially when they suck)
Like this one time my band (of 40-ish) went up against a school's band that we had previously thought was gonna be huge because of how much they tried to intimidate us.
They get there...and theres like...18-24 kids.
Ridiculous. And they played this show that could've been cool if they played louder.

Wowness..i guess people knows Marcus very well.:] Our whole band hates Marcus. with having the same school district and the same area.it couldn't be much worst. but, hey, we are top 10 in the state of Texas.

I've seen too many Philip Glass shows. I dunno if that's just where I am but yeah. Never seen a PoTC or PoTO or anything actually.

In the state of Colorado, Cirque du Soleil was the over-done theme of the year in 2006. Three bands, including my own, did a Cirque du Soleil show. It was kind of a bummer, because we found this out at the show we hosted, and we thought we were being original.

Here in southwestern PA, everyone (except my band, thankfully) does Thriller. I expect they'll all do it again this year, with Michael Jackson gone.
I can always hope that they don't though... watching the same show over and over again is really boring. Especailly when you only watch it from the side, because your band is behind theirs at every festival we go to...
