So my problem is this: I'm gonna buy a PS3 within the next few days, but my TV doesnt have HDMI. crying What would be the next best connection of the ones available on PS3. Although, I'm not sure what all types of connections you can make besides HDMI and Component.

umm the tier goes like this...

HDMI>Component (Red/Green/Blue)>AV(Red/Yellow/White)

the very next best connection that you can go with would be Component
not so sure on your sound setup, but if you have a nice system, you should be able to run a digital(correct me if im wrong guys) cable from your ps3 into your setup for a really clean sound

well, i just checked my surround sound setup and it only has AV inputs. x_X Does the PS3 have an S-Video output? I'm buying it tomorrow, so any help would GREATLY be appreciated. sweatdrop

umm i dont think the PS3 has an S-Video output to it
