What kind of technique is this? Ren had enough time to notice, under the temporary protection of the dome, that the "birds" were technically weapons. Their bodies were empty of chakra but replaced with some kind of bio-chemical. He realized that it was acid eating through his dome. Some of the feather-blades dug deep through the crumbling stone dome. Ren's skin started to mimic the color of the dirt beneath him. Ugh, time to go..! He hastily phased through the ground just before his dome finally gave way. Ren disappeared into the earth temporarily while watching the birds' reactions with his byakugan.

The stragglers continuied to circle above where Ren had submerged, while the remaining members of the murder decended on the Dojo itself. Slowly sending one wave after the other, trying to use the minimum number of birds for the most damage to the building itself.
It was clear that given any reasonable amount of time to prepare the birds attacks were far more potent. The acidic ichor being far more potent, and the shear amount of mass contained within, it was as if layers of feathers had been folded inside the bird over and over, somehow compressing everything to fit into small bodies.

He felt powerless, but he had to do something. Ren's assumption was that the birds had changed their focus to the dojo because he had disappeared from sight.
Ren reappeared in the forest and sat cross-legged behind a large tree. He was focusing on gathering chakra.

The birds turned upon noticing Ren once more. Several still committed to their bombing runs, but as the dojo shook and the acid started to consume the building many broke away, leaving both the building's remains and Ren alone.
Only five birds remained for Ren to deal with.

Ren watched on helplessly behind the large tree as the Ho Dojo was destroyed. Seeing their numbers diminished gave Ren more confidence. The ground around him started to crack and break apart while numerous small rocks and pebbles floated in the air. Ren was still sitting behind the tree with his optical bloodline active as he watched each of the birds. The stone pebbles and rocks floated around to the front of tree. At the same time, the projectiles pulsed forward with great acceleration and penetrating force towards the birds.

Four of the birds died with only a splattering of Ichor, the fifth while apparently immune to the acidic effect was still blinded by the gore, crashing into the tree before it could explode.
The retreating birds didn't seem to take notice one way or another as they continued on, whatever their mission might have been, it seemed that now Ren wasn't a priority.

The tree had suffered the brunt of the explosion, keeping Ren out of harm's way. Ren got up from the ground when he saw some type of flare being thrown into the sky. It was coming from the Kaze dojo. It was easy to notice because of the solar eclipse in the sky. Ren noticed that the remaining birds were heading towards the Mizu dojo next. He hurried towards the Kaze dojo instead; leaping up to tree branches and kicking off them.
