Well, once I made a thread in the anime/manga forums on Gaia and included a link to the manga in question... The next day I received a PM stating that linking to copyrighted material was a no-no in thread "first posts."
So that's my story for why I didn't put a
link in my thread starting post.
I'll be back later for further discussion. So in the manga as it stands at a full 70 chapters scanlated, and an entire volume still to go for N U L L to finish, there are four major characters.
(I'll try not to spoil the plot for you who haven't read this manga.)
Nao Kanzaki - She is the too-honest-and-naive-for-her-own-good protagonist, she gets trapped in the Liar Game by opening a box before reading the card that was sent with it. Within the first day or so of the game she lost all of the money lent to her by the game. Of course, at first it would appear that she has no real applicable skills when it comes to this game.
Akiyama Shinichi - A famous con-artist who learns of the Lair Game because of some strange girl who convinced him to help her play the Liar Game. Eventually he gets more involved with the game than just his original role of assistant. [Detective Conan + L < Akiyama; if you don't believe me, just read the manga.]
Fukunaga Yuuji - Perhaps one of the greatest characters I have ever seen in a manga. Or rather, the best at making entrances and eye opening plot twists. To tell you anything about this character here would be sacreligious to the mangaka's original intent and context.
Yokoya Norihiko - Possibly the most misguided human I have ever seen. You may disagree. He supposedly likes mice.
