Swiss I was going to correct your spelling, but Rust beat me to it >> I like Grateful Dead, but I prefer Phish and Led Zeppelin <3 n.n Yeah, I think Phish is a lot jazzier and more fun. But without Grateful Dead we wouldn't have Phish.

I saw them 54 times. My favorite show was at RFK Stadium, Washington, D.C., 12 July 1990. Brent's last Dark Star. The first half of the 2nd set (w/the aforementioned Dark Star) can be seen in View From The Vault II!!!
Cute story (x2): I have a telephoto lens which is about a meter long. Once, I was taking a photo of Phil, and he spotted me and jumped a little bit. I guess having a long thing like that pointed at you makes you paranoid. Later, the same thing happened w/Vince.

kanonbalkween OMG i love these guys, and its hard to be a hippy without them, you can but its hard! they have got to be the best. what do you think? The Dead are the best band in the world, period. But, just so you know, it is "Grateful" not "Greatful". And they aren't very grateful anymore. Because their lead singer is dead.

Jade Raccoon yeah, they're cool. my science teacher plays them sometimes. i prefer phish and the beatles though. I like the Blues Brothers quote in your signature. What makes the Dead better than the Beatles is A) they are less dead, ironicly, and B) every Dead song is totally awesome, while Quite a few Beatles songs are kind of...not that great. But the `69/`70 Beatles totally own everyone, even me. R.E.M. totally rocks my socks as well. But hardly anyone cares about any of their songs these days except for End of the World and Losing my Religion, which makes me really sad, because they're my 2 favourite band ever, with the exception of M.O.S.S., which is my band, in which I rock, because that's what I do.

Thatlatu But, just so you know, it is "Grateful" not "Greatful". And they aren't very grateful anymore. Because their lead singer is dead. I found this t-shirt at a store in Ocean City. It says: "Forever Grateful. Forever Dead. Forever Jerry." heart

Like John Lennon, George Harrison, Jerry Garcia, and Vladimir Ulyanov. Hehe, first 4 awesome people who suffered from untimely and highly saddening death that came into my mind.

I heard their music before, not my thing. :/ They're good, but I like more rock'n stuff. Like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath (not hippie music, but I still love them) Cream and stuff like that. surprised

I've met a lot of people who say you need to get high to really appreciate their music. But I personally get high just listening to their music. And none of the brain damage!
