Chantelle slowly wades into the shallow end of her stream she uses to wash her gems. She had been working all day in the mines working to find the best of the best for her wares. She had been sweating so now she was cooling off in her favorite spot. Her red tipped mane drooping with the weight of the water. She splashes her inked face into the cool water and comes up dripping. She slowly walks out and lies on the fresh grass in the sunlight zoning out in a pleasure fogged vision.

Gabriel fluttered over the tops of the trees smiling slightly to himself, "Ah, today is such a lovely day.... Don't you think, Maestro? Lillith?" Gabriel chuckled as his little coocoon fairies chirped in reply and began to swoop and twirl about him. Ah, such happy little creatures... They always make the day bright... Flying forward with his fairies in tow, Gabriel searched the ground for... some thing. Well actually, it was more that he was looking for some one than something thing. Anyone really, just... some one. Slowly, the great Sandpainter Canyon came into view.
"Oh yes, why hadn't I thought of that sooner?!" Gabriel muttered to himself. He had actually finally remembered how many some one's he would find at the canyon, there was ALWAYS some one there. Gabriel smiled and zipped forward through the air, humming to himself. Then, there... he spotted some one, a FEMALE some one, by a stream. Gabriel suddenly turned around and landed out of sight of the lady and took out his small portable harp. Then, with all the practiced grace in the world, Gabriel began to pad forward on his back two legs, gently strumming his harp with his now free hands. Singing softly along with his music, something he WAS rather good at, Gabriel drew closer to the female, now within eyesight. He hoped that to her he would just seem like a traveling musician... all part of the plan really...

Chantelle ears swivel when she hears a faint, humming? Her head snaps up as she spots a painter? she thinks coming into her clearing playing a harp of all things. It was shiny in the sun, golden hair gleaming and wearing clothes. It was all very foreign, especially the type. It was walking strangely on its hind legs like that wyvern of the Jungle, yet it had feathered wings like the variation of the common. She peers at it strangely finally deciding to get up and approach. She remains stiff and cautious especially of the damned fairies. She had run into one earlier and they might not be the same but she isn't taking a chance.
"Wow do I feel under dressed. Time for the standard 'Who are you are you, what do you want, and why are you here?' "she gives a pointy smile and keeps her distance. 'Where the hell did he come from?' she questions herself.

Gabriel raised his eyebrows in feigned surprise as he laid his eyes upon the female Chi'. She seemed very confused, almost as if she were looking at an alien or something along those lines. Gabriel chuckled and wiggled his eyebrows playfully as she spoke, strumming the last few cords of his song before handing the harp to his fairy, Maestro. Then, sweeping his left hand out out to the side and bringing his right hand forward, Gabriel bent into a deep bow, "Good evening, mon chéri." Then, straitening himself and using his tail for balance, Gabriel replied, "Under dressed? I should think not madam. Your colors are simply stunning... it would be such a shame for you to put clothing on and hide such beauty." With a gracious smile of pearly white teeth, Gabriel continued, "And I am Gabriel, I want nothing more than to share the presence of one so intense as yourself, and I am here because this is where the winds have taken me... Are those adequate answers madam?"

Chantelle watches the new comer nervously. She just raises a brow to eyebrow wiggling but takes a step back when he passes off the harp to one of the 'things' and takes another step back when he takes a deep bow. She blurts out, after talks, "You're French! I knew you looked gay! And no need to flatter, I know I twon't be getting any anytime soon. Ah Gabe-ree-Al is it, and ya sure you can share my 'presense' but cha better bring sometin' better than a harp and some shiny a** teeth ta the table. And, further more, what do ya freaking want ya bleeding poof? Thats winds stuff is bull cause even ta winds wouldn't bring ya here. So no, not ade-Quate enough answers for me GABE." She spouts her mini monologue, being mean to the new comer, although she is naturally a royal pain. But for her it was a case of, she wasn't gunna be nice for no one. She cocks a hip and shakes off the left over water, hoping to annoy the interloper further.
