What do you think about this? Are we going to be able to go with friends and family on a Jurassic park island in the future? Scientist are dreaming a long time to "revive" extincted animals. Not that long ago with that baby Mammoth.
So would this be the breakthrough for it or is it all false hope.

i think one day it may be possible..not in any of our lifetimes but it may be possible to clone certain species of dinosaurs using there blood along with dna from closely related animals like rinos and crocs

I'm not the one who would know anything about this but don't they need actual DNA samples to clone? Again, I could be completely wrong.

Rhinos are mammals, for one. Birds are much more closely related to dinosaurs than modern-day reptiles.

Hey it could be possible with better technology. They have been cloning living animals in the world. Cats, dogs, and other things. Did you know that if you clone a cat it'll look different? eek mrgreen

Of course, why someone would want to have a huge croc relative around is a different story...

Indeed you do. And not only that, but you have to have a certain amount of viable DNA to work with. And truly, what are the chances that enough DNA will ever be found to make this a reality. On another note, we haven't even perfected the process with living animals yet. Shouldn't we do that before trying to clone long-extinct animals?

We would have better luck with recently extinct animals like the Tasmanian tiger. We have enough DNA to pull that one off.

I think that is possible since there are new great people that will soon be born but there will be but it will be in the future

Oh my god lots of response since i last entered this thread. An I agree with the fact to first try it out with the Tasmanian Tiger. They allready covered a part of the DNA for it but still its guessing in the dark.

I may be possible, but I bet it would be easier to just bio engineer an animal to look like a dinosaur then to try and create a clone.

this is very interesting.. scientists can clone new dinosaurs from the samples they got.. this could be possible.. but we'll never know what will happen...
