A few months ago in my town, there is a small family owned restaurant. And my Mother goes in there from time to time and she has conversations with the older Lady who owns the restaurant. And during one of their conversations, the lady owner was talking about how she was going to have to leave the business in her son's hands for the week, because her elderly father was sick and dying in some part of Mexico. She didn't say which part but she said she was going to see him before he died. She mentions to my Mother that her father was suffering with some unknown disease that caused him to loose blood regularly and by unknown means. But the doctors didn't tell her what he had. She said she was headed to Mexico to make his final arrangements. Anyhow my Mom ended up telling me about that conversation. I wonder what part of Mexico this is happening in? Interesting ... ninja

Doesn't sound very pleasent. And in all honestly I wouldn't try to look much further into it. There are some very rare diseases that are almost unheard of, like that one that causes your flesh and organs to turn to bone. I wasn't pretty to see the skeleton of the man who had that on.
I heard of that disease before. The one where a person's organs turn to bone. I've also heard of one where the muscles deteriorate. And possibly in the future we will find a true vampiric disease like a parasite in the blood that drinks up our blood. In fact I think there is a worm that does that already. These microscopic worms are a sexually transmitted parasite that not only drinks blood but cuts into blood vessels and into organs to travel further into our bodies, though they are microscopic in size. But it is a living organism and even in ancient days any creature that destroys human life was considered evil. Like all plagues and diseases were considered from a demonic source. We fear what we cannot understand or properly study.

I've heard of a disease that requires large amounts of iron and protein in their diet otherwise they're skin will pretty much dry up. Of course you know what has high levels of iron and protein right?
But yes blood is the lifeforce of the human body. Heck, George Washington (First President) pretty much died due to the doctors of the time bleeding him out thinking he was sick all the time because of bad blood.
Even to point something out a little funny in history. Egypt in ancient times use to believe that red hair was a curse and a bad thing, so they would euthenize any redheaded person. Now I know you think red hair in Egypt? Well medical tests and study has show that all races in all regions of the planet has the proper coding in the DNA for red hair. The reason I looked into this because I heard of Native Alaskans that had red hair. And to find out it's not out of the ordnary, just not heard of much.
Kind of like lollipops. They all start out orange, or at least thats what my brother told me when he was making them in cooking class. Hehe, but I never heard that about human hair. O.o Maybe Adam and Eve had red hair then? Is that why Jesus is often depicted as having auburn or reddish hair perhaps?

Could be, I'm not overly sure what color hair he had. Funny bit of info, some people think that Adam had blue skin. xb So red hair and blue skin? And keep up the work on the info. 3nodding

Adam having blue skin? Thats weird. I've never heard of that. Do you mean like one of those Africans that are called "Blue Men?" They are so black in the desert that they appear blueish in tint. However Adam was a strange creature. He wasn't born from a Mother so he had no belly button or probably many organs that men born of Mothers in the womb develop, including nipples and certain hormones for mating. They say that even the blood of men reflect their Mother's blood type. So Adam didn't have normal blood since he had no mother. There is a ancient belief by some that Adam's remains were buried at Mount Golgotha in Jerusalem. But another legend says that Noah took Adam's remains which were kept in a small alabaster sarcophagus and then left them on the Arch when it came to rest in the mountains of Ararat in Turkey & the Armenia border.

There is a rumor, that the Smithsonian Institute actually got a hold of this sarcophagus and there were eyewitnesses to them having received it from some exploration group that went into Mount Ararat to find the Arch. However it was kept very secretive and some top brass from the Pentagon went in and took the small Sarcophagus and it's disappeared from the Smithsonian. Why would the Pentagon take it and hide it? Maybe it's too controversial and maybe it will reveal whether men were apes or not?

Case file: Johannes Cuntius, the Notorious Vampire of Silesia
Location: Region of Silesia called Pentach; a part of the modern Poland
Date of incident reported: Late 16'th century
Summary Report: Johannes Cuntius was kicked by a horse and on his death bed was scratched on the face by a black cat. But he didn't just come back as a blood drinking vampire, this guy came back to cause plenty of mischief and to unleash plenty of poltergeist like demonic power. His corpse did many amazing things as well. Was this the result of selling his soul to the devil?
Reference Source(s): http://www.visionaryliving.com/articles/vfiles.php, http://vampires.monstrous.com/silesian_vampires.htm
Extended Description or Information:

The region of Silesia is a northern neighbor of Bohemia and Moravia. Today, it is a part of the modern nation of Poland. The earliest accounts of vampires in this territory known today go back to the late 16'th century. Johannes Cuntius, alderman of Pentach in Silesia, died following being kicked by a horse in the groin. On his deathbed, he said he had sold his soul to the devil. At the moment of his death, a tempest arose and a black cat rushed into his room and attacked his face. During Cuntius's funeral, yet another great tempest arose, ending the moment the corpse was interred. After the burial, rumors arose of a phantom with the voice of Cuntius. Johannes Cuntius had been a man of wealth and influence before he died. Some, including his own servants, suspected that his success was the result of his making a pact with the devil. After he died, he returned from the grave and appeared in many ways.

Cuntius had been dead only one or two days when rumors circulated around his village that an incubus in his form was forcing itself upon women. Sexual molestations continued after his burial, joined by poltergeist-like disturbances. Trampling noises resounded throughout his house at night, so severe that the entire house shook. Objects were flung about. Sleeping persons were beaten. Dogs barked all over town. Strange footprints, unknown as man or beast, appeared around the house. Cuntius demanded conjugal rights with his widow and sexually molested other women. He troubled many people while they were asleep in many ways. He strangled some old men. He bruised the body of a child and caused the bones to become soft. He accosted a wagoner in his stable, galloped around the house like a horse, wrestled with people, vomited fire, spotted the church's altar cloth with blood, bashed the heads of dogs against the ground, and killed poultry and eaten, and broke a man's foot.

He would drink the milk in milk bowls, fling dung into them, or turn the milk to blood. Terrible smells and the sensation of foul, icy breath permeated the Cuntius house. His gravestone was found turned to one side and there were several holes in the ground the size of mice holes which went down to his coffin. Each time the holes were filled, they were found re-opened the next day. The haunting of the town by Cuntius lasted for many months and had a very a bad effect on its commerce. Eventually it was decided to disinter the body. It was found that all the bodies buried above that of Cuntius had become putrefied and rotten, but his skin was tender and florid, his joints by no means stiff, and when a staff was put between his fingers they closed around it and held it fast in their grasp. He could open and shut his eyes, and when a vein in his leg was punctured the blood sprang out as fresh as that of a living person. This happened after the body had been in the grave for about six months.

As you can well imagine, the vampire did not cooperate with his dismemberment. Cuntius's corpse was in a remarkably fresh condition. A trial was convened and the cadaver of Johannes Cuntius was found guilty. The corpse resisted the flames of the cremation fire until the executioner cut it into many small pieces. After the burning was complete, the ashes were swept up and cast into a river. Afterwards, Cuntius bothered no one anymore. The summary of this Silesian case is based on the full account given by the Englishman Henry More in his book An Antidote Against Atheism published in 1653 as quoted in The Vampire in Europe by Montague Summers (originally published in 1928, last reprint:: Random House, 1996).

Could be, the Smithsonian has more then it's share of skeletons in it's closet, and I mean literaly. Locked away where people can't access or view remains of things kept secret for the past hundred years. Of course some say the Vatican has it's share of secrets hidden from all. Of course to get access to those deep vaults would prove useless unless you knew how to read in 20 different languages both modern and dead. Keeping information from the public has always been an issue with those in power, it helps them keep in control. As well keep the masses from breaking all knew rules and laws based around tradition and history. Prove links in history are wrong and what happens?

Case file: The Count of St. Germain / Comte de Saint Germain "The man(?) who never dies and knows everything"
Location: Imperial Courts of France, Germany and Russia now allegedly the Himalayas
Date of incident reported: Allegedly died February 27, 1784
Summary Report: An adventurer, inventor, amateur scientist, alchemist, violinist, and a mysterious gentleman who haunted the royal and imperial Courts of France, Germany and Russia; Since his disappearance, various occult organizations have adopted him as a model figure or even as a powerful deity. Is believed to be some kind of immortal.

St. Germain never revealed his actual background and identity, leading to many speculations about him and his origin and ancestry. Some of these include the possibility that he was the son of Francis II Rákóczi, the Prince of Transylvania. What we do know about him is that he always wore black or white, never ate or drank in public, could speak at least twelve languages and several sources, including documents signed by his own hand, suggest that his apparent death in 1786 was faked. He evidently worked as a spy for several European governments, and Frederick the Great called him "the man who never dies and knows everything". He was one of the best swordsmen of his day. He was a master violinist. He visited Marie Antoinette and her intimate friend, Madame d'Adhémar, who later wrote the story of his abilities as an Adept, and that he had warned of the coming debacle and death of the king and queen.Theosophists consider him to be a Mahatma, Master or adept. Aleister Crowley identified with him. Helena Blavatsky said he was one of her Masters of Wisdom and hinted at secret documents. St. Germain himself once claimed to have been around and intimate friends with King Solomon & the Queen of Sheba. He was a personal friend of Voltaire, Rousseau, and a great many other distinguished philosophers. He knew many European heads of state. He had vast amounts of gold and treasure but no one knew where he kept this wealth hidden. Many groups in occultism honor St. Germain as an Ascended Master. As such, he is believed to have many magical powers such as the ability to teleport, levitate, walk through walls, influence people telepathically, etc. He founded Rosicrucianism and Freemasonry in England. He did this under the name Francis Bacon. It was his dream to create in America a new country free of corruption, greed, and dictatorial monarchies. Some esoteric groups credit him with inspiring the Founding Fathers, George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, to draft the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution, as well as providing the design of the Great Seal of the United States. He was a great painter and musical conductor. He had an extensive knowledge of herbalism. Some feel that this attributed to his long life. He was a master alchemist. It is said that he could turn base metals into gold.

There were rumors of him alive in Paris in 1835, in Milan in 1867, and in Egypt during Napoleon's campaign. Annie Besant said that she met the Count in 1896. Theosophist C. W. Leadbeater claimed to have met him in Rome in 1926, and said that St. Germain showed him a robe that had been previously owned by a Roman Emperor and that St. Germain told him that one of his residences was a castle in Transylvania. Theosophist Guy Ballard claimed that the Count had introduced him to visitors from Venus and published a book series about his channelings; Ballard founded the "I Am" Activity. In The Chronicles of Saint Germain, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro turn the man into and humanist vampire, then in subsequent books placed the same character in various times and settings, ranging from Ancient Babylon to Nazi Germany. He spent eighty five years with the Trans-Himalayan Brotherhood which was made up of El Moyra, Kuthumi, Djwhal Khul, and others. He believed to have lived for over 350 years, staging his death between lifetimes. As a writer he is believed to have used the names Christopher Marlowe, Edmund Spenser, Montaigne, Robert Burton, Cervantes, Valentine Andraes, Eirenaeus Philalethes [a 17th century anonymous writer of alchemical works] , and Comte de Gabalis. St. Germaine has been linked with the "Wandering Jew" of medieval legend. The french philosopher, Voltaire, referred to Saint Germain as "the man who does not die". Curiously, the "Wandering Jew" was said to have been a member of the Household of Pontius Pilate. In this regard, the writer Sax Rohmer, creator of the Dr. Fu Manchu books, and one time member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, records an interesting anecdote in his treatise The Romance of Sorcery, published in 1914. Regarding Count Cagliostro, an 18th century masonic occultist, he relates the following:

One day, then, whilst passing along the picture-gallery in the Louvre - so one account tells us - Cagliostro halted before the picture by Jouvenet, ‘The Descent from the Cross,’ and began to weep. Several of his companions questioned him as to the cause of his emotion.

‘Alas!’ he replied, ‘I shed tears for the death of this great moralist, for this man so good with whom I have had intimate intercourse (he could mean "communication, interchange or communion"). Indeed, we dined together at the house of Pontius Pilate.

‘Of whom do you speak?’ inquired the Duc de Richelieu, stupefied.

‘Of Jesus Christ. I knew him well!’

Cagliostro is said, too, at this time (again in imitation of Saint-Germain) to have had in his service a valet who, by his mysterious silence, considerably added to the impression created by his master.

M. d’Hannibal, a German noble, one day seized this fellow by the ear, and in a tone half jesting and half angry cried:

‘Rascal! You will tell me now the true age of your master!’

‘Listen, monsieur - I cannot tell you the age of M. le Comte, as it is unknown to me. He has always been to me as he appears to you; young, gay, buvant sec. All I can tell you is that I have been in his service since the decline of the Roman Republic; for we agreed upon my salary on the very day that Caesar perished at the hand of the assassin in the Senate! ’ " (my italics – BD)

It has been intimated that Cagliostro was one of a number of guises adopted by the enigmatic Comte de Saint Germain.

...

Side Notes: Matthew Bunson in his book, THE VAMPIRE ENCYCLOPEDIA, p.156, under "Life of a Vampire", says that in both Serbia and Albania it was believed that, if an undead vampire wasn't destroyed within thirty years after burial, it would become "human" and travel the world under a different name. Also, on page 148, under "Kukudhi", Bunson says that in some regions of Albania it was believed that the vampire grew stronger with time until it reached a final stage where it is called a kukudhi, and is no longer required to return to its grave and can live in a home during the day, and typically travels to other lands as a merchant.

In his book, MYTHOLOGIE DU VAMPIRE EN ROMANIE, Adrien Cremene adds some more details to this. He states that, after seven to twelve years from the time of burial, the strigoi, the Romanian vampire, will have reached a stage where he is no longer tied to his grave, and will go forth in the world, moving to another village, marrying, and raising a family. At the beginning of this phase, the strigoi ceases to prey upon humans but instead attacks wild and domestic animals. But then he reaches the point where he can sustain himself on a normal diet and it is then that he goes off to another village where he passes as a normal mortal human. But even when the strigoi is living incognito in another village with another family and doesn't have to take nourishment from the living, he is still bound by the requirement of living for short periods of time as a vampire. Usually, these times are from Friday night until Sunday morning. During this time, he might find a resting place in a nearby cemetery or go cavorting with other strigoi. Being bound by this necessity of joining his own kind for this period each week, this type of strigoi must learn to be very cautious about his doings so as not to arouse suspicions about his true nature. This is a very hard thing to do for a long time, and also these strigoi are not affected by sickness or aging, so they have the reputation of being nomads. They wander into a village or town, take a wife, have children, and eventually find it necessary to wander again and make a new life somewhere else.

Case file: Vampire Paranoia killed Polish immigrant!
Location: Stoke-on-Trent a pottery district in England
Date of incident reported: January 1973
Summary Report: Polish Immigrant found dead from fear of Vampires.
Reference Source: ref source: "Vampires, Zombies, and Monster Men" by Daniel Farson : ISBN 0-385-11311-8
Extended Description or Information:
The Young British Officer was called to investigate a death. Within an house what had seemed like a routine mission turned into one of the strangest cases any policeman could have encountered. Police Constable Pye found the dead man's room plundged in darkness. The man had apparently been so terrified of electricity that there were no light bulbs in the room. But gradually the beam of the policeman's flashlight revealed an extraordinary scene. P.C.Pye was looking at a fortress prepared against an attack by vampires. Salt was scattered around the room and sprinkled over the blankets. A bag of salt rested by the dead man's face, and another was laid between his legs. The man had mixed salt with his urine in various containers. Outside on the window ledge he had placed an inverted bowl that covered a mixture of human excreta and garlic. The dead man was Demetrious Myiciura, a polish immigrant who had left his country for Britain 25 years earlier. He had worked as a potter in Stoke-on-Trent in the heart of England's pottery district. That is where he met his bizarre death. It would certainly be hard to imagine a place more remote from the traditionally vampire-haunted forests of Transylvania in Romania. Stoke-on-Trent is a Industrial town, set in a landscape mutilated by factory chimneys and slag heaps. Myiciura's house looked gloomy and somehow eerie. At number 3 at "The Villas" he met his death. The body was duly removed for examination. At the inquest the pathologist reported that Myiciura had choked to death on a pickled onion. The coroner thought that it was not unknown for people "to bolt their food and die." However during a re-examination it was found to be a clove of garlic.

John George Haigh Arrested in the News
[X] John G. Haigh around time of his arrest

Once a choir boy in Wakefield England, became known as the English acid-bath murderer hanged in 1949, is reputed to have been a vampire. He himself claimed to have drank the blood of his victims, although this claim may have been an attempt to escape hanging by certified insane. Bassil Copper, one biographer of Haigh, says: "There is no doubt in my mind that John George Haigh was a vampire in the classical tradition, possibly the only true monster in this field in the 20th century. Haigh was a successful English confidence man who claimed he had murdered nine people mainly to drink their blood, but who's bank account grew in size after each killing. He disposed of the dead bodies in enormous water barrels filled with sulfuric acid. Although he pleaded insanity as his defense, he was convicted and hanged.

Was a deaf mute German laborer, a cripple who had spent nine years in mental hospitals. (He escaped 12 times.) According to the public prosecutors, he was perfectly sane and fully accountable for his actions. But his actions were extraordinary by any normal standards. Between 1971 and 1972, the police have records of at least 35 occasions when Hofmann forced entry into graveyards and mortuaries near his home in Nürnberg, He made copies of the keys of the local cemetery where he stole among the tombstones, heading unerringly for the fresh graves. He chose his victims from death notices in the newspapers, and methodically made his way to a new corpse, stabbing into it with razor blades or a knife. Sometimes he cut off the head; sometimes he tore out the heart. Always he drank the blood. From his prison cell, Hofmann explained matter-of-factly that he did it to make himself "good-looking and strong". In May 1972 Hofmann decided on a new approach. He found two young lovers in a car, shot them dead, and drank their blood from their wounds. It made him happy, he told police, adding that the young and pretty girl had been much better than the women in the graveyards.

Not only a brave soldier who fought along side Joan of Arc, de Rais was also a cultured and apparently pios man. In 1440, however, he was brought to trial and accused of the murder of some 140 children. Moreover, it was charged that the murders were done with the utmost cruelty, and accomplished by sexual perversions. A contemporary account states: "The most monstrously depraved imagination never could have conceived what the trial reveals." Among other things he was charged with having sat on the bowels of a dying boy while drinking his blood. He apparently had an obsession with blood, and ordered a servant to stab the children in the jugular vein so that their blood would shoot over him. After being tortured himself, de Rais confessed publicly to all the charges, and begged forgiveness of the parents of his victims. He was burnt after first being strangled to death-- (the manuscript shows him about to be hanged however) an act of mercy granted him for not recanting his confession.

You know all of this stuff is really interesting. I have niticed that many times people drank others blood in order to prolong their life or to look more youthful. It is just funny to see what people will do to try and live forever or even just look younger.
