I've got a Shadowrun RP idea, I'm currently pounding the idea into an adventure for actual desktop gaming once school's back in, but with 500 point characters it's proving more difficult than I imagined.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind running it as a sub-forum here if there's enough interested parties. It wouldn't be as in depth as a real game, lots more hand waving than you'd normally get in a desktop game.

I had a few ideas you might want to use.

Gangs: with the police force privitized, the gangs are rampant, so long and they do not harass the corprate powers too much, they are left to grow like weeds.
Trollz: exactly what you'd think, an entire gang of trolls that have their HQ under the biggest bridge in the city. they are little more than thugs and legbreakers running protection rackets.
Crypts: evolving from the african american gang Crips to incorprate magical practices, as their name suggests they have an affinity for the undead, skeletons in perticular. They deal in illegal drugs and have a decent profit margin, they also have vast numbers compared to the other gangs.
Bloods: the crypts counterparts, focusing on blood magic akin to the pagans of old. (not the dance around the fire, element based wicca stuff, their shamen will rip your intistines out, and make predictions for an upcoming based on what they see in them.) they are madmen and psychopaths shunning technology and embracing their bloodmagic.
Peacekeepers: based on the old police force, these crooks immitate the police that once stopped them in a twisted parody. They run protection rackets, arms dealing. Worse yet the peacekeepers belive they are doing the right thing trying to "restore order to the streets" they use an effective combonation of old police gear, and modern tech. prefering paramilatry stratigy, and overwhelming force against the other gangs. Instead of driving suped up station wagons or sports cars they use refurbished police crusers and armored swat vans with speakers mounted on the side, and a few old choppers and tanks, their hardware is outclassed by the corprate powers, but a tank is still a tank. they use a military structure based on the police force, with footsoldiers reporting to sargents, sargents to Lutenants, Lutenents to captians, captians to chiefs, district chiefs report to the commisioner himself.
The idea of them in riot gear marching into a district, the song "paint it black" pumping out of the van's speakers was too hard to resist.
Jokerz: if the peacekeepers are all about order, and direct combat. The jokerz are the opposate. They became one of the big gangs because they are willing to do anything, screw with their genetics, get strange cybernetics, they meld magic and science in warped ways.
But the most fearsome about them are their sheer numbers. The gang is seperated into small units that vary in size from 25 to 100 members, usually held togeather by a single leader's chrisma. they are concidered anarchists and madmen, and other than loyality to the mythical Jester himself and their circus theme, have no coordination at all. jokerz are a real pain in the a** to corprate intrests in their territory. this may explain why the Peacekeepers get the occasional unknown donation.

those are good ideas..the animal RP can be placed in the random RP section, just follow the rules and have fun creating it!!
