So, my wisdom teeth are officially growing in and I've known from the beginning that I'd need to get them removed because they're impacted. Basically, they grow in sideways. When impacted, they're prone to infection and what do ya know? I get my first ever cavity in my newly grown in wisdom tooth. I'm going to see if I can get the tooth removed this week..what I want to know is:

1. Are there any tooth flouride treatments that are more natural. I want to prevent infection to my other impacted wisdom teeth before I get those removed. *I heard something about green tea helping?
2. Is there any natural way to bring down the swelling after tooth removal (I have prom this weekend..I know..lucky me)
3. Is there anything I can do for the pain right now?
4. What foods are good to eat right after removal?

Yeah..so I didn't get this cavity from poor diet or anything.. I brush my teeth regularly..It's kind of inevitable..

UGH FML!!!!

My wisdom teeth are coming in right now! After I spent 200 bucks at the dentist for them to tell me I didn't have to worry, but that if they ever did, they would need to be removed cause they are at retarded angles. My mom called them up and they claim it's only the bottom ones and I don't need to worry. Either way I'm not covered by my parents insurance until fall when I go back to being a full time student so I'm waiting till then to worry about it.

I don't have dental insurance so I have to get them out one at a time.
I actually can't get my cavity filled until I get my wisdom teeth removed.
ugh..
You probably have impacted 3rd molars like I do..that's why you'd need them removed.

I had my wisdom teeth removed a few years back.

After they're out you need to eat soft food. basically mush. You can't suck on anything as the pressure is likely to rip out the stitches in your gums.

rinsing out with salt water does a lot to relieve discomfort. IT also helps to keep your mouth clean and prevent nastiness.

For tooth pain right now, try chewing on a whole clove. Cloves have analgesic properties and can help numb/reduce the pain. Or go to the store and buy something like oral-gel to numb the mouth.

Swelling will pretty much take its own time to go down. I don't know of anything to help with that.

good luck on your teeth. I remember the pain only too well.
