Dark Matter is the almost undetectable substance that binds together all the things in the universe.

It is not proved if its real or not, but I believe it is. I'm sorry if I posted this late, but dark matter is a substance that makes up more than 50% of the universe, undectectable because its emitted by radiaton and is the only thing that could have caused missing mass or spiral galaxies.

Perhaps it is better to say tht is is the only thing we know of to explain the missing mass. There may be something out there that we have no knowledge of.

I recently had a lengthy conversation with a post graduate about work he was doing on colliding galaxies and the interactions of gravity, gases, etc. Dark matter also popped up in conversation.
Dark matter is one of those things that can be talked about for a long time, but we'll only know for sure when we've found a way of detecting these particles. The idea that the universe is held together by dark matter filaments is interesting, and I believe it to be true.:'D ilovecomments

I don't want to say I believe in it without the proof, but the idea does intrigue me.
