Every six weeks, or grading period, we're supposed to take two A.R. tests. A.R. means Accelerated Reader, a program installed at our school to, I guess, motivate, students to read because after you take a test on an A.R. book, you get points, if you passed the test. Well, today was the last day of A.R. for me, yet only the third week of the six weeks, so I rushed and read an easy Goosebumps book, but before that, the last book I read was "Football Hero" by former NFL player, Tim Green.

The one I'm reading NOW is Brisingr by Christopher Paolini and before that I was reading The Drawing of the Three by Stephen king.
I highly recommend them to everyone ^^.

Now I am reading by one of Margaret Peterson Haddix's latest: Found. Just started reading it today and got to Page 50.

Hm... One of the schools I went to a while ago had AR. I got like 300 points in one year. XD I came in second place. The other person came in first because she had been working on hers for five years. Of course, I had never taken one before that year and just went down the list and took the test of all the books I had read.

Going back to A.R. - wow, that's amazing. We had a girl that had like 450 points this school year, or somewhere around the area. The most I had ever gotten was like 186, and over half of that was from reading all twelve [available] books from the Series of Unfortunate Events. When the thirteenth one came out next year, I bought, read, and got a 100 on the test of it.

The last book i read was "Kiss in Time." i forgot who the author was and i'm not in the mood to go find out. It's a book for anyone who like romance, princess, and humor. I will say i enjoyed it.
Oh and a school i went to had A.R and this one 2nd grader got like 500 points or something higher (can't remember). And the most i ever got was 200 points.

The last book I've read was the next novel from Alex Flinn. It was called "A kiss in time". She does a lot of modernize fairytale. I'm excited to see the movie next year for her book "Beastly".

Well, I just joined and I've decided to make a random first post here...I think we need an Introduction thread.
The book I'm currently reading is I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You by Ally Carter. I hate it, but I have to read it for my school's book club. At least it's relatively short and I'm halfway done with it now...

Just finished Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Niel Gaiman, (So really, how can you go wrong...) one of my favorite books ever. Now I'm working on Time Machines Repaired While-U-Wait, by K.A. Bedford which I picked up at a used bookstore the other day, really with a title like that I just couldn't resist.

The redemption of Althalus by David Eddings. I remember when the AR program started. (I was in 6th grade, a VERY long time ago) and by the time the year ended I had well over 3000 points. More than anyone in the whole school. That was the first year they did it so I dunno if theyve changed the program since then.

Well.. The last book that I completely finished was called Thorn. I do not remember the author at the moment, but the book was about a physcopath and a family, the "Thorn" family. Basically, the physcopath was a police officer, but throughout the book they lead you to believe it is actually a crazy gardener from across the street who talks to the daughter a lot.
It has an amazing ending and it sent shivers through my spine many times as I read different pages; the word use and the setting of the book make it very exciting.
If I can figure out the author I'll write it down, but I recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery and horror.
