More information, please.
Is it actual corn, or a dracena? Where do you live? Is it inside or outside? Had you just watered it? Did you just purchase it? Is it with other plants? or is it alone? Are the spots raised or flat? How big are the spots?

Never having grown corn in a pot, all I can do is guess, but if it's too wet, the brown parts will look or feel "mushy", too dry, they'll feel dry. Is it in full sun? Does it get a good breeze? Corn does take a lot of water, but it can be too wet, and it is a full sun lover, pollinated by the wind---I hope it has a friend or two!
