It was time.
The ulaya stalked through the forest, his black pelt easily blending with the shadows around him. His eyes were flashing, searching, paranoid of the creatures lurking behind every tree, every rock. It was unusual for him to be out at this hour, but he had a mission- it could not fail under any circumstance. If he failed, he would try again. This mission was one he was being stubborn with.
Now, this 'mission' as he called it, was what he also called complex. Ouka was attempting to get one of his children back. He already had his sights on one, the little female who acted the innocence he always carried, deep down.
Adriane.
She was different from the others. She didn't belong.
And that was how he decided on taking her from her family. She needed her father.
She needed him now.

Her name meant "dark", but she was anything but. Adriane was busy chasing a butterfly, jumping up to paw at it now and then. She was not out to hurt it or kill it, as she assumed Toxin would do. The thought of her "normal" family gave her a hesitant step. It wasn't fair to be different. Toxin was a bloodthirsty boy that her mother was proud of, or at least had no problems with, Lithium and another brother had some issues with the full moon, she heard. It was only she, the red-pelted kit, wingless and never going feral on the full moon, the one who was interested in chasing things and not killing them and eating berries and playing tag and hide-and-seek, nothing rough, that was the odd one out. And it stung sometimes. Either way, she smiled and told the retreating butterfly to wait up.
