The daytime rays kissed soft green scales lightly waking her from her daydream. She had been there for quite some time now, staring blankly at the strange rock formation. Fire ants now crawling up and down her body, every now and again finding a weak spot in between scales to sting.
That kind of hurts... the cerulean eyed female thought as she stomped her foot in an attempt to rid herself of the ants on her left side. He mouth pressed together as her brow furrowed, staring at the rock formation for a little longer before reluctantly raising to a standing position. The ants were every where! She could feel them moving all over her body as though she was the dirt, stinging every so often when they noticed she wasn't.
This situation wasn't a good one. She had not only spaced out again to stare at a rock, she now was covered in angry fire ants. Moving her body away from the spot she had been seated she inspected it. A nest, she had decided to take seat on a nest! The thought of those little creatures all over her body made her shiver again.
SMACK! Again she stamped her foot, this time her right. One had found a nice piece of meat and wasn't letting go. The burning, itching sensation causing her teeth to grind. How had she not noticed them before this?!
I would do anything for this to stop! the female wailed inside of her head as she dropped to the ground and rolled. There wasn't anyone there to see her, at least no one she had noticed, and she honestly didn't care at the moment. She just itched!
