On the cover: A picture of Poison holding the Undisputed championship standing on top of the ladder. Also, a picture next to it of Zarel standing on top of hell in a cell, his face bloodied but standing tall in victory

Trip to Hell

Going into Judgment Day, the Talented One had much to answer for. He had turned on his former tag team partner, Zarel Damone. He had attacked Zarel and also cost him a victory over Robert Orman. Then, Cartwright had managed to assemble a group of stars against the Damone family. Said group had attacked Zarel in his first one on one encounter with Cartwright in over a year, prompting a save from his younger siblings. And now it was time for Cartwright to put up or shut up.

Jarel Damone, the XCW Chairman, made a match to put an end to this rivalry. Jarel, who has only competed once in XCW, felt no need to reenter the ring to put an end to cartwright. Instead, he placed Cartwright in hell in a cell with Zarel. Two former hell in a cell victims were to face off in the match that made Jarel famous. Could Cartwright finally emerge victorious over a Damone family member?

It was a long, hard fought match. Zarel was agressive from the early goings, keeping Cartwright on the defenesive. As usual, the match was bloody and brutal. In the end, it was Zarel who emerged victorious, and also won the right to an Undisputed Championship match on Impact.

The Chairman's New Source of Irritation

Coming into Judgment Day, chairman of XCW, Jarel Damone, found himself with a new problem. Several surprisingly disgruntled employees gathered together to join forces against the chairman's family. This faction consisting of Cartwright, the XCW Television champion, Rhamm, and newcomers Marxx and Robert Orman, apparently have taken issue with the dominance on display by the Damone family. Claiming to be screwed by the Damones at every turn, they've come together and waged war against the family. Surprisingly, the chairman doesn't seem worried.

Jarel: Every promotor has his share of whiners and complainers. I expected this from Cartwright, since he's made a habit of getting his a** kicked on a weekly basis here by everyone from Travis Dukeman to the Brothers of Destruction and even Zarel Damone. However, I'm a bit surprised at Rhamm. This guy is quite simply the most dominant Television champion in this company's history. To suggest that anyone has been holding him back is just plain stupid. Marxx and Robert, I understand, just want to make their mark. That's fine. But damned if they'll do it at my expense. Zarel beat Cartwright one final time in hell in a cell. Zarel's moving on to face the world champion. Brandon and Janelle, they're keeping the Cruiser division alive around here. Those two are going to keep tearing the house down until people come in begging to join the division.

At Judgment Day, this new faction announced its name, Talented Carnage. And at this pay per view, half of the team emerged victorious, with Robert defeating Brandon and Janelle Damone in a handicap match and Rhamm defending the Television championship against Harli. Cartwright put in a hell of an effort against Zarel, but as the chairman stated, lost.

Jarel: You know, these guys think they have the guys in the back scared. Instead, what they've got is a line of guys in the back that are just as deserving of opportunity as they are. They've got a line of guys waiting in the wings to take them out. I'm not worried that they'll do much to me. I won't have to give in to the urge to step back into the ring myself. I'm actually looking forward to it all. I can't wait to see what happens to the ratings, because I've got a few surprises for these guys.

The chairman brought back former XCW champion, Shawn Michaels, and recruited Joshua Danielson of Through the Pain as the first line of defense against Talented Carnage. What more does he have in store for them, or more importantly, what will TC do to get ahead?

Still XCW Undisputed Champion

At Backlash, a new Undisputed champion was crowned. In a brutal Pandora's Box match, Poison defeated Christian Cage to win the Undisputed championship and continue his dominance here in XCW. Heading into Judgment Day, he knew his opponent, but not what type of match he would be in. And though it's hard to ever say this man is at a disadvantage, it could be said that he was at one going into this match.

Christian Cage didn't disappoint the fans, deciding to make his final title opportunity his specialty, a tables ladders and chairs match. Once again, these two men put on one hell of a match, complete with all the weapons necessary to totally batter each other senseless. Cage brought the fight to the much larger man, but in the end, Poison was able to emerge as the champion. Now as we look forward to Impact, the question becomes, what happens when the Unstoppable force meets the immovable object, as Poison is slated to take on former XCW Undisputed champion Zarel Damone.
