What kind of music do you guys generally listen to?
Are any of you musicians?
What kind of music would you play, be you musician or not?
What is your take on internationally produced music?
Just a couple of question/topics to get all of you started...

I basically listen to Asian pop-rock, Eurotrance, random French pop, and classical (i.e. Helene Grimaud, Catrin Finch, Joshua Bell, Josh Groban who shouldn't be considered classical but pop...)... I'm fine with anything as long as it isn't American pop. Covers from Asian artists on American pop I can take. It's just soo... UGH! Same subject matter, pretty much.
I play piano--I'm a piano teacher, pianist for my church, and people are starting to hire me and pay me what professionals get-- and flute. I quit band this year; otherwise, I was first chair flutist in Symphony Band. Boy, was the music department mad at me... But I love piano. It's the only instrument that I've been able to play continually (for 10 years)... I've played percussion, violin, flute, piccolo... couldn't handle them for over a year, other than flute, which I played for six years (I still practice occasionally... I have a sweet vibrato heart )
I play classical. All the way. I'm currently working on several ensemble pieces, such as a two piano rendition of the Passacaglia by Bach for organ, the Rondo Cappricio by Beethoven, lots of Bach inventions because of Solo and Ensemble... among lots of other things. My friends and I are going to start a rock band, tho'... we have a really good singer as well as a percussionist(who's only 13 eek but she's really good 3nodding ), the singer's sister who's my best friend and will play some form of guitar, and me, the pianist. We're trying to get more people... there's this guy who we know who has these sweet guitar riffs--and who used to be my piano student, despite his being 3-4 years older than me--, and his friend. Also, everyone in our youth group plays an instrument... so we're going to have some interesting combinations of flute, clarinet, and trumpet, as well as violin...
