The world of Arret is comprised of many different types of ecosystems and climates. As such, the landscape can drastically vary from place to place. Here you will find a description of all landscapes and key areas know to the inhabitants of this world.
Avos:
Avos is the largest urban populated area in Arret at this time. It is a bustly city, full of opportunity and new beginnings. All political happenings take place in the Grand Cathedral (shown here), as well as many other large events such as yearly festivals and whatnot. The city is not for those faint of heart, and one could only expect to survive there if they possess the will of a lion. After a major battle between some of the inhabitants of the city and the Eternal of Fire, a large portion of the city was burned down leaving the city in shambles and struggling to maintain its glorious reputation.
The Northern Lands:
The Northern Lands are some of the toughest country anyone in Arret could ever face. A barren wasteland, many say not even the Eternals bother with that area anymore, although other claim it to house some of the greatest treasures in the world.
The Klasm Mountain Range:
The Klasm Mountain Range runs northeast to southwest across the continent. It is said to be home to many monsters and creatures, although there are a few small settlements along both its upper ridge and against its lower walls. One cannot travel across the mainland without at least once crossing over this vast entity.
The Hikari Forest:
This forest is the home of many of the elves of Arret. Its vast canopy envelopes the entirety of the place, giving its floor an almost constant night like feel. Creatures and animals galore are to be found across this 1001 acre forest.
The Forever Plains:
If there was ever somewhere to get lost, it would be the forever plains. This great expanse of nothingness extends from the foot of the Klasm Mountain Range and makes its way across thousands of miles, covering almost the entire eastern half of the continent. Good luck finding your way out of here.
The Southern Coast:
Many ships yearn to see this section of the continent after spending months at see. Hundreds of small port towns line this long strip of land, each with its own set of laws and underground governments. If you ever need to get off of the great continent, you'll be passing through here.
Sarkuro Island:
This is but one of the many islands found off the coast of the great continent. Sarkuro Island is known for its beautiful weather, beautiful women, and its beautifully hidden pirate city. Top that all off with a first class resort, and you have one of the best vacation areas in the world.
Noxtious:
The city itself is for the most part unknown to those who live in Arret. Noxtious, also known as The Holy City Of The Dead, is one of the largest urban metropolises on the planet, rivaling the likes of Avos. The city was built by mortals, but those who live there believe it is a chosen land picked out by the Ten Lords of Death. Noxtious is located in the western most section of the Northern Lands. Built underground, the city acts as a sanctuary for its inhabitants, as well as a fortress. Because of its subterranean location, the city is in a perpetual state of darkness which is only darkened by the large amounts soot and smog created by the cities factories.
The City of Celes
Found in the southern part of Arret, near the southern coast. Unlike the other area's, Celes is a more rural city, also known as the city of eternal spring. Unlike other lands in Arret, the city of Celes solely concentrates on the agriculture and cultivation of there plants, fruits, and vegetables. The city was founded by both elves and humans and is separated into sections by social class, making it a magical place of peaceful refuge and order. It's well known for its peaceful atmosphere and magnificent gardens and sweet pastries, having grassy plains near the sea. There's industries relied on trades across the seas' and there tourist attractions.
That's what it used to be... now you'd be lucky enough to even see any plants in there former glory, the peaceful atmosphere is heavy with decay, as the once magnificent gardens seem to only wither away slowly, like life anywhere else. It’s still a refuge, but the city isn't as beautiful as it once was.
Doing it's best not to disappear. The inhabitants are doing there best to restore this land to its former glory.
