Here, all DC/Case Closed roleplaying will go on. Feel free to create the roleplaying thread of your dreams! The skies the limit! Before you get started, here's a couple of basics if you're new to the roleplaying business.
-Every rp creator has their own ideas, and their own rules. If they say "literate only or semi-lit to lit." please respect that. Please don't just skim over rules, because it will probably end up in you having to leave the rp, and no one likes that.
-Though rp creators may not be mods, they can always come to mods if there is an issue in their thread. Generally, the creators are their own gods of the thread, and mods are happy to enforce that if it's reasonable. So basically, just listen to the creator and everything will be fine ^^
-If you are making a thread, be sure there isn't one like it so things don't overlap. You can always ask me or another mod to delete a thread if need be.
-Feel free to make "profile skeletons", if you feel the need. Profile skeletons provide the outline for a character, and give categories for people to fill out. I, for one, love them.
-Just in case the rp creator doesn't state explicitly so in the rules, here are rules that DEFINITELY HAVE TO BE FOLLOWED NO MATTER WHAT. (they are in red)
-Keep everything PG-13. That means no cybering, yiffing, whatever you want to call it. Kissing is fine, and implied is fine, as long as you don't do the deed. Use good judgement on this one, because I trust you, and so should others. If you even have the thought that it may be going too far, don't post it. Oh, and if you are having trouble, time skips are amazing and you should use them. They are like saviors from above. Seriously. All you have to do? "Screen fades to black" or if you think that's cheesy, "Time skip!" Just make sure everyone knows what's going on. ALSO, make sure it's not too violent. Remember that this rule is probably one of the most important. There are younger people here.
-No flaming, trolling, spamming, etc. No one likes fighting or needless bumps/spamming.
-No godmoding. Godmoding is when a character is almighty powerful. Make sure there are some flaws. Even characters in DC have flaws, no?
-Don't auto-hit or kill. Fighting with characters is fine, just don't always hit the other character, and NEVER kill the other character without the other person's consent.
-Despite all these rules, have fun, and enjoy your time here at Poirot's Cafe!
