Background: Leon was born in Avos, the only child to his parents, Nikolai and Emelia. His father was a watchmaker, and at a very young age, Leon began to study this trade. Emelia, hoping her son could be more useful to society, insisted that he be sent to school to study in sciences and medicine. Leon quickly became fascinated with understanding how things worked—from simple mechanics to the physiology of living creatures. He invested himself solely in his studies, and graduated at the top of his class.
Upon returning home, he discovered that his parents had adopted a child—Ceria, the daughter of one of their life-long neighbors who had passed away. He and Ceria soon became great companions, and could not be separated. Soon after Ceria’s arrival at the household, however, Leon’s mother died. Fearing for his father’s health, Leon moved the family away from the industry of Avos, a difficult decision for him, and found a home on the Southern Coast. The sea air revived Nikolai’s spirits, but he passed away within a year of a broken heart.
Leon was forced to abandon further study at the Institute, and instead opened a shop to make ends meet. In this shop, Leon sells watches and other inventions of his own, as well as repairing broken devices. With what money he can, he buys books on the latest discoveries and constantly studies new material. He hopes one day to sell the shop and become a world-renown scientist, creating a better life for himself and Ceria.
Skills/Abilities/Magic: Leon has very basic knowledge of alchemy and the chemistry it requires, as well as very minor spells. He is an excellent mechanic.
Weapons: A modified flint-lock pistol and daggers.
Extra: Because of his close connection with Ceria, the only family he has left, many people, unaware of their adoptive status, believe that Leon and Ceria are involved in an incestuous relationship.

User Name: Clouded Rays Character Name: Carcer Age: Unknown...I'd guess 25 Race: Unknown. His mask and cloak cover all physical appearance. Expected to be Human due to his place of birth. Appearance:  I was going to color...but I've already spent a long time soooo.... Background: Born deep within an industrial city, he had no knowledge of Arcane arts until very recently. At age 15 he created a mask/helmet capable of detecting magical abilities. Around age 20 he left his village after a fire which wiped the town almost clean of all of its inhabitants. All records of his existence were forever lost. Blaming what he thought was an Eternal possessing fire abilities, he created several machines that could amplify his own abilities. With his creations, he set out on a quest to find and take revenge on any beings that could use excessive fire abilities. Skills/Abilities/Magic: He has no magical abilities other than the ability to create machines with Arcane pwer sources. His cloak is made of simple cloth and his mask is constructed of a special polymer which makes the red circle imprinted in the middle of it to turn red when a magic user is nearby, it is hardly ever unlit. Weapons: His weapons include a gauntlet capable of materializing a fearsome blade made of dark energy and a gun which shoots "holy" bullets. Extra: His overall mental status has deterriorated slightly and is subject to enter fits of mental instability while fighting. He reacts normally to everyone he meets. He generally acts like any normal sane person. Under-attire: Under his cloak he sports a classic vest. His right arm is belted from his shoulder down to his wrist.

Appearance: 
Background: Ceria was born in the the Northern Lands and lived with her mother. When she was young, she would work in the field, trying to produce some form of food. Her mother was killed while defending Ceria from an attacking monster. Soon after, Ceria was attacked and bitten by a phantasm. This gave her extreme magical prowess, as well as the ability to make herself intangible at will, much like a ghost. She wandered and survived on her own for about a year before she was found by Nikolai. She then began her life as part of the Maxwell family.
Keeping her powers a secret, Ceria largely worked around the house with Emelia, learning all things necessary to be a proper woman and someday wife. Although she found such things tedious, she practiced them tiredly, determined not to be a burden to those who had taken her in.
Upon moving to the Southern Coast, and Nikolai's subsequent death, Ceria has made it her perogative not only to take care of the house, but also help in every way that she can, including picking up odd jobs. Still uncomfortable about her powers, she keeps them hidden to all but Leon, though he is urging her to branch outwards.
Skills/Abilities/Magic: She is able to make herself intangible at will, but because she was reluctant to fully develop her powers, she has very basic control of elemental magic, but has very strong kinetic and telepathic abilities.
Weapons: A staff that she carries almost everywhere, as well as daggers.
Extra: Because of her close relationship with Leon, many who do not know the adoptive status of the siblings believe to the engage in an incestuous relationship.

Name:Shadowscythe555 Character Name:Kaiso Age:18 Race:Human Appearance:  Background:Kaiso grew up in Avos with no parents and only on scraps of food that he could buy by selling junk.With no family to rely on he dived into machinery feeling most at home learning about it.As a child and even now Kaiso is a feeble person but is good with machines.The machine he is currently working on nearly crippled his arm in an experiment a few years back.He tried to make a machine that could amplify the muscles in the human body but failed horrifically nearly crippling his left arm.Despite the accident he still worked on the machine itself and a few others. Skills/Abilities/Magic:Kaiso is great with machinery ironically in Japanese his names means inventor.His magical abilities are greatly limited to small types of fire magic which he uses for welding and force magic like levitating however at a small scale. Weapons:Since Kaiso is weak he usually resorts to trickery.He uses smoke bombs which are hidden away in a small leather pack on his belt,a variety of self created bombs,a single shot handgun on his side, and a wrench on his other side. Extra:Kaiso's left arm is nearly crippled, he can barely feel anything in it or anything that touches it. So in a battle he uses his right arm for everything but he would rather not fight in the first place. Kaiso however not wanting to fight has strict moral rules of 'right and wrong' and if he decides someone is immoral he won't hesitate to fight.He is also very gullible but has hardly any social skills.

Her mother stayed at home, taking care of Nyx and her older brothers, while her father was a merchant in town. Being the youngest child, Nyx always wanted to play with her big brothers, but they would always try to exclude her out of everything. The only way she would get to play with them was if she went complaining to her mother. Once, when the boys were playing with their wooden swords, they excluded her once again. When she went to tattle, her mother pulled a small bow out of the storage closet and a quiver of fake arrows. She said, "Now, my dearest Nyx. Go show those two troublemakers what you're made of." The smile on young Nyx's face lit up the whole small kitchen. Immediately, she strapped on the quiver and race back to her brothers. Standing about 50 feet away from them, she launched two arrows- each arrow hitting both boys in the stomach perfectly. From that day on, her brothers never excluded her from their games again. On Nyx's 18th birthday, her father sat her down for a "talk." He told her that another merchant in town had noticed her and her skill with a bow. Her father said that this man had asked for Nyx's hand in marriage and that he had agreed. She was to be married the next spring. Nyx was horrified. She didn't want to marry someone she didn't love. It took months of planning, but a week before the wedding was to be held, Nyx packed a bag of food, set her bow and arrows, and took off into the night. She traveled as far and as long as she could, eventually stopping in the Hikari Forest. On her first night, she was attacked by a small monster. Nyx killed it, but not before sustaining a deep cut on her leg and a small wound on her arm. She tended to her wounds then fell into a deep sleep. When she awoke, Nyx was surprised to find a small creature poking it's head into her bag and eating her food! That creature turned out to be Dionysus, and the rest? ...Well that is history. Personality: A quiet, young girl, Nyx prefers the sounds of nature over the bustling noises of the city. She is kind of shy, making conversation with strangers only when absolutely neccessary. Nyx wears her heart on her sleeve, and is a very trusting person. Maybe too much so? Skills/Abilities/Magic: Nyx knows no magic, but what she lacks in the arcane knowledge, she makes up for in agility and stealth. Being light on her feet, Nyx can slip through a camp of sleeping enemies, making minimal noise. She is also an ace shot with her bow. Weapons: Two daggers for close range combat (one tucked into each boot), long bow for long range combat & quiver with handmade arrows, both holstered on her back. Extra: She has a ferret named Dionysus as a companion. He is very intelligent and mostly friendly and peaceful, prefering to dive into Nyx's bag when battles start. He has a taste for alcohol.

Appearance: 6’1”, short, black hair and amber eyes. He is lean, but fit. Several piercings in each of his ears, as well as one in his right eyebrow. He always has goggles with him, usually on his head or hanging around his neck. He is dressed mostly in black—Black boots, pants, vest, and even fingerless gloves. Almost never has a shirt on. Wears a necklace with a red stone—a gift from the Goddess.
Background: As an eternal, Samael has been around for most of the world’s lifetime. He was given control of fire, with the task of cleansing the world of evil. While he originally did his duty faithfully, over the years he began to see all of humanity as unfit for the Goddess, and eventually had total disregard for life. He is often careless with his powers and the people he comes across, not afraid to incinerate a human just for looking at him the wrong way. He has patrolled the earth for hundreds of thousands of years, and has adopted many human characteristics. He is a womanizer with a short temper. He loves to mock others and generally act superior because, well, he was created by the Goddess. However, he keeps his true identity a secret, only sharing the information of his demi-god status with those he is about to kill.
Skills/Abilities/Magic: Anything relating to fire. He can raise the temperature of his body with out any physical harm to himself, as well as dispel this heat to increase the temperature of his surroundings. He can conjure flame at will and combust objects simply by willing it, but this is not possible with living beings. He does not require an incantation, but the larger the flame, the more of a toll it takes on his body.
Weapons: A simple knife. Rarely used because of his fire abilities.
Extra: Has extreme devotion to the Goddess, going so far to claim Her as his lover. Carries a deck of cards with him everywhere, ready to gamble at a moment’s notice.

Gabriel is the most powerful being in the city, as a young boy he was able to learn and master spells far beyond that of most mages. He is the only one to have mastered all 30 of the spells of the lords of death. As emperor of Noxitous he has full authority over it in every way. Gabriel has a very nihilistic attitude but in truth he is cursed with power, wealth, and seemingly everlasting life and is doomed to watch the world fall to pieces alone, one thing Gabriel seeks more than anything is some one like him to share his world with. Gabriel has a very rare trait that is passed down in his bloodline witch lets him see the souls of anyone he looks at and the flow of magic energy through out the world because of this power he has gone mostly blind but can still see, this trait he was born with gave him dazzling yellow eyes. He has very calm nature and will only fight if prevoked to the point he feels threatened or to stop others from being put in danger, other than that he will not lift a finger......he has other ways to subdue enemies then with violents. Appearance:  Background: Born and raised in Avos, Babtiste is a scientist and tycoon whose dream in life is to have all the energy in the world at his command. With that energy, he intends to bring the world to its knees. He is constantly on the hunt to find the secret to warping matter to his own desires. He has come close but cannot completly control anything yet. He has no morals, standards, or any other moral reason to stop or question his work. Because of his work in the fields of energy, the nature of Babtiste’s work left him very eccentric and near insane, which has gradually worsened over time. He is one of the top scientists in the world and was infamous for creating vicious and destructive creations from weapons to creatures. He is cunning and fights dirty in battle, but lived to do experiments and could typically be seen toying with some contraption to make it more devastating. He is so fascinated by science that he’s even worked on improving himself from warping parts of his anatomy to changing how he looks completely. He doesn’t even remember how he originally looks. He is often shown to be sadistic and cruel as he sees everyone and everything not as a living being, but as an object to be researched—including himself. He has little respect or regard for most others. Skills/Abilities/Magic: He is a mad scientist, as described by some, and all his abilities spawn from a scientific stand point. His powers mostly deal with the manipulation of matter. His favorite ones are ionized electrons, electricity, and carbon (Plasma, Lightning, biological matter). Because of experiments on himself, he can directly spawn plasma gas from his right hand and lightning from his left, although, he has very little control and manipulation over it as soon as it expels his body and they tend to be inaccurate. Weapons: He has two, three foot long iron beating sticks which he uses for melee combat or to better focus his plasma or electric powers, but their accuracy is only improved 40%. These are his favorate weapons but he is known to carry others. He is also constantly supplied with medical tools for ‘repairing’ himself or as weapons. He also carries various chemicals and drugs with him for whatever reason, be it improving himself or crippling enemies. Extra: “Life is short and beautiful. User Name:Lorelei Wyrd Character Name: Lorelei Wyrd Age: 29 Race: Human Appearance:  Background: Lorelei always had an interest in science and the arcane, but not the kind that people look favourable on, the betterment of the people she always called it, insane experiments they called it. With no financial backing for her experiments, she was forced to use her self as a test subject, it was bound to go wrong, and it did. One day she was working on prosthetics for arms and legs when the pressure in the boiler became to high and exploded, shooting pieces of metal through the workshop, the blast was hear through out the neighbourhood. When people started to crowd around the workshop, they could hear laughter from out of the rubble. "IT WORKED! It worked, hahahaha~" a green glow radiated from the rubble as it began to move. As the dust cleared there stood Lorelei, the people where awestruck by her appearance, her whole body was covered in dust and blood, but that was not what they where looking at, her body was covered with tiny pieces of metal and cogwheels that had strange green glowing lines on them. Now she covers it up, hoping that no-one finds out. In truth she isn't sure herself how it happened. Skills/Abilities/Magic:Strength and speed, above the average athlete (due to the arcane metal fragments in her body) Magic: Metal and a rudimentary control of the metal fragments in her body, (as in making a claw or a shield, although it hurts like hell to do so). Weapons: Cane, two pistols (more for decorations then use). Extra: Lorelei, gave up on her experiments, after she "succeeded" in her latest, she now spends her days in her house thinking up theories about how it happened.

User Name: NinjaKitty27 Character Name: Kasane Takahashi Age: 20 Race: demon Appearance:  Background: One of the last pure demon clans still striving from totally being wiped out and erased entirely from history. Demon you say? No more then a myth? No my friend, these two twins are much more then myth, they walk among the humans undetected. Due to the sudden industrial revolution, there was little this demon race could do, they became a dying breed. Having there once proud blood mixing with humans or beings outside the demon territory. Very few demons of the Takahashi clan still exist, well…pure ones anyway. Kasane Takashi, twin to Kain and was born only seconds after him. The more offensive one of the two. Once born the mother trained and raised her brother while her father raised and trained her himself. She's skilled with many different weapons but her biggest flaw if the fact that she rushes into things without a second thought, she's stubborn and absolutely naive. She's not one to think things through and usually gets more hurt then her brother. But at some point her parents left to go defend there territory against some invading humans...and never returned. For this, she holds spite and disgust towards humans but as a result they hid there true selves in human forms. They have been hiding amongst the humans for years disguised as rich aristocrats, living the life of some human but barely living their own as demons. As the world bands together to survive, they are no more then by standers trying to keep themselves from disappearing from existence. This has brought the two twins closer then ever, almost inseparable. Skills/Abilities/Magic: sword fighting, she can smell fear, can use a little bit of magic Weapons: sword, throwing knives, a two peice chakram and one hidden gun. She prefers not to use it though. Extra: She has a simple ferret demon companion who has been trained by Kain to attack any guy who tries to flirt with her.

User Name: NinjaKitty27 Character Name: Kain Takahashi Age: 20 Race: demon Appearance:  Background: Much like his sister Kasane, the only difference if that he was raised by his mother, learning the healing arts rather then focusing on battling tactics. He became the more defensive and neutral of the two. Being born only seconds ahead of Kasane, he seems smarter is anything. Unlike Kasane he doesn't rush into things like he does. He likes to play mind games a lot but his flaw is that he's too cautious and tends to over think things too much. He's skilled in poisons and medicines and herbs. He doesn't mind humans too much and tends to ignore them entirely, keeping it cool for both him and his sister. He's very firm with her and over protective. He'll leave just about anyone alone just as long as they leave him and his sister alone. Like any normal male ego, he tries to mask his emotions unlike his sister who seems like a loose cannon to him at times. But he's not exactly the gentle one either, more like the calm before the storm...best to keep and eye out for this one. Unlike his sister...this one plays dirty. Skills/Abilities/Magic: Healing magic, skilled at swords fighting, expert of herbs and poisons Weapons: sword, poison darts, most of his weapons are coated with various poisons Extra: for some reason he has an unreasonable fear...of dogs...

His mother was the guardian before him and now it was his turn to watch over the new heirs. It was a terrible dismay when the mistress and master died but one the less he was still there and Kain allowed him to stay to protect them on one condition; to attack and male trying to get close to Kasane. Maybe it was just his brothers over protectiveness, but either way Yuki accepted and even find enjoyment in attacking anyone who attempts to get close to the girl. If even they would get past him they'd still have to get past her brother and then they'd have to get through her to win her over, good luck boys! Skills/Abilities/Magic: he can turn into a ferret, use healing magic and shape shifting , it just so happens he enjoys being a ferret. Weapons: throwing knives, daggers, and poisons so watch out. Extra: he's also afraid of dogs.

Ever since he was a child, he had always loved the smiles and praise he would get from preforming. He wanted to see the world one last time before it would change either for the better or worse, even he didn't know the future. He's more a less just a simple performer with quite a few tricks up his sleeve. He's also a mercenary and an informationist. Username: Godz Hatred Character Name: Gugnolt, The Alchesmith Age: 268 years old Race: Goblin Appearance:  Background: Gugnolt is the leader of a nomadic goblin tribe that wanders the Forever Plains, picking up scrap metal and parts from the Bartholomew War. As chief of the tribe, Gugnolt watches over his people and takes all measures to avoid any harm to them, even if it means running from a fight. He is also one of the best goblin blacksmiths and alchemists of this day and age and uses his skills to help prosper his tribe. He is an old, wise leader that shows respect when it is due and follows his own moral code. Skills/Abilities/Magic: Gugnolt is a master blacksmith and alchemist. He has spent his life devoted to these arts and can forge or repair almost any weapon and can whip up almost any potion. He can also change the properties of certain materials. Being a goblin, he has infrared vision.

Character Name: Seto Natsume

Appearance: Seto takes one of two forms, but they generally look the same. In either form, he has crimson red hair that seems to have never seen a comb and falls all over his face. His red-brown eyes shine bright under his hair however, and are usually narrowed in a glare of death and mistrust. Around his shoulders he wears a black hooded cloak, tattered and ripped. Under the cloak he has a white t-shirt, stained a tanned brown and also torn and tattered from wear, same with his dark jeans. He wears no shoes, just dirty rags wrapped around his feet best he could manage, with similar wraps around his forearms. The major difference between his two forms, is in the first one, he looks only as if he was 6 or 7. He maintains this form most of the time, and stands at only 4'07''. The clothes he wears are rather loose and baggy in this state. When he wants to though, he assumes his true form, standing at 6'00'' and filling out his clothes completely. On his back in this form, there is a bloody red mark of magic, a seal of sorts. He doesn't use this form often though.
Background: Seto's life has been a series of hardships. At a young age, he was found to be proficient in magic, so he was kidnapped and used in series of experiments to use that magic. When he was six, he managed to break free by obtaining a curse. He was forced trade the majority of his power, sealing it away, in return for eternal youth. His captors had wanted this to be done so they could keep him alive for more research and abuse of his powers, but what they didn't realize was just how much power was being sealed. In the ensuing explosion of energy, Seto made his escape by using his full untapped potential that he was granted for a split second while the seal was created.
For years after, he has wandered the world, hunting for whatever he needed to survive and doing odd jobs. Often times he would turn to crime to achieve what he would need, so much of his travels have been running from the law. He has since learned to control and release the seal on his powers, thus releasing his true age as well, but can only do so for short periods of time.
Skills/Abilities/Magic: Illusion magic based around water and fogs. Ability to release and seal his powers, changing forms. Combat magic based around water.
Weapons: Aside from his magic, Seto is skilled in hand to hand combat, and for dire situations he caries a pair of daggers, attached at the bottom of the grip by a short chain.
Extra: Can't stand the smell of eggs.
