Okay so there is a group trying to raise money for something or other at school. And they seem to be doing a good job at it too! What are they doing?
Not a bake sale,
Not a yard sale,
Not asking for donations
They are playing Handson "Mmm Bobop" nonstop. The tactic is called "Stop the Bop". They have been playing the same song...
...For three days.
The only way to make it stop is to PAY! whee They even have the CD on random volumes and skips so just when you can block it out you notice it again!
I feel bad for the people who work in the cafe. eek

*laughs* Yeah. Miss Chloie and I ate outside so we didn't have to hear it. You know it's practically summer when there are tables outisde on a college campus~! 3nodding

This formula is not unknown. The mafia has a similar system with 'stop the cop' where they pay money to have the police look the other way XD

I won't lie. If they tried something like that on my campus, I would run out there with a baseball bat two hours into it and break the speakers...and beat anyone who tried to stop me.
The sad thing is, if I did this two hours in, someone would likely have already done it. xd

Yeah. The best part is it didn't bother me except for once. But then I just focused on eating my sour cream taco salad. whee I guess it doesn't work so much if people don't care. I remember it stopped once and people started singing it to fill up the empty space. Then it was promptly turned back on again. I don't think that it was a very big donation if they didnt go silent for very long...
Fundraising on a college campus is dumb though. Nobody carries around cash, and we're all far too poor to be spending money and to be giving donations to functions.

I agree with Chloie. Whenever there is a group fundrasing on our campus they never expect to get much. We all know students have about $0 in their pockets and maybe $20 in the bank. xd
