It's a five-part series, I believe. It's kind of an "evolution of games" kind of thing. Bit.Trip Core has you controlling two axis instead of just one.

It's definitely difficult to play at first, and it's a little hard on the eyes with those flashy backgrounds. I was impressed when the little purple dots showed up, though.
