Bridge Between the Contenants
Iceland was definatly the strangest place I've ever visited, everything is very natural, very small, and almost everything runs off geothermal energy. All this made it clean, and very very beautiful.
This was the first place we arrived, it was really really weird, looked kinda like the moon, or another planet on a sci-fi movie, infact it is just where the Take-That video for 'Rule the World' was set. It was where the two plates for America and Europe met, they move somthing like an inch a year apart!
If was the first top after a very long night and mornings travel, we were all very tired, and I personally was confused and amazed. I had no idea what Iceland was going to be like, I had never really looked into it, I guess I thought it would be a bit like most other places in Europe I'd been too. I realised more and more that Iceland was going to be nothing like what I assumed, or anything like anywhere I'd been before, I went to Marks and Spencers to purchase Euros, came out to meet my friend, who infomed me that Iceland don't use Euros. Great.
It was incredibly noticable just how clean the air was. The climate was just about the same to Britain that time of year, although it stayed light for many many more hours.
