So I was sick for a while and hadn't been able to train for about a week. It was driving me absolutely insane but when I tried to do anything I just felt like total crap. Anyway I finally went in to train today (now that I am feeling better) and I feel soo good now it is such a rush I almost feel high. My point being that it sucks not being able to train and I hope that I never get sick again

Some of us just can't get through the week unless we have a good beating.

ugh, I hate missing classes... I was sick with a bad cold for a week and then I missed last week due to hollidays and there are no classes this week. That is a total of three weeks of karate that I have missed gonk At least I've done a bit on my own but it's not quite the same.

now because of money problems and my parents being assholes I won't be able to be in my tea kwon do class for 3 months.

This bugs me, any ideas on any training I could do from home?
Stuff besides just practiceing all the stuff I already know would be nice.

3 months? You have it easy. A year and a half before I was able to return to taekwondo. As for training at home, Go over Poomse's, and if that's not enough find a open space in your house or outside and then practice combinations in the air.

Ya thats pretty much all I could come up with doing to.
But I found a kickboxing place I could go to for $2 a class, so I'm considering that as something to do for now.

I win the sadness vote, I had to stop classes in October 2002 because I was pregnant. Now I have a lovely two-year-old, but still can't go back to classes! crying First my husband had this stinky job that required all sorts of weird overtime (think regularly working until at least 11pm, with occasional weekend "work parties"), so he couldn't come home and take over baby-watching, then he went into police academy and, although home a lot more, was also usually comatose due to excessive amounts of physical activity and abuse (the lucky b*****d). Now he's graduated and swears he and I can both make it to classes three times a week, despite the fact that half the time he's working evening shift. talk2hand Sweet, yet mildly delusional. In the meantime, I developed hip problems post-baby because of loss of muscle tone. gonk

On the plus side, galvanized by my husband's dreams of me going to class, I've started hiding in the shower for an extra 15-30 minutes doing punching drills, kicks, crunches, and modified pushups. It's one of the few places I can be sure no one will expect me to drop everything to take care of something or someone. I'm starting to see great results. And then... this week... I had to cut two showers in a row short! crying And I'll probably miss tomorrow as well, because I've got a new patient at 8:30 and...yeah, not waking up that early. GAH!!!
