Uggal, located in the Weoqy System in the Inner Rim, was discovered in the second age of colonization by a Tarsonian scouting party. The planet already had residents, the race that evolved locally. The two planets in the system had been colonized by the local race. The Tarsonians contacted the race and negotiated them into the Confederacy.

During the the civil war, the Uggs sided with the Confederacy and fought hard to defend their world from the Alliance. The planet was occupied by the Restoration Alliance until the Confederacy fell. After the fall of the Empire, the Uggs rebelled against the Federation and joined forces with the Tarsonian Quadrant. The Federation once again occupied the planet after the Quadrant fell.
