At the beginning of next year, I will be going through the memberlist, and banning all members who have not managed to post in the guild since joining.
I don't want to do this, but I don't see the point in having so many users in the guild with less than 3 posts.
Those of you who have 1 post or less, and have not even managed to introduce yourself, or say ANYTHING related to this guild will be removed unless you show a little more activity, and interest in what this guild is about.
I know many of these users will not even read this, since they are inactive in this guild, and probably Gaia, but I am making this announcement anyway so that you have plenty of time to comply if you really want to be in the guild.
I don't ask much, but the purpose of having this guild was so Smith fans could share in a common interest, and so we would all have a place to talk about Smith, his works, and what they mean to us. I don't expect daily activity out of everyone, but it would be nice to see more than just the same handful people in the forum here. It seems we have about 140 users who have never had anything to say about Kevin Smith. That is unacceptable.
This guild is for fans who have something to share with other fans, not for people who simply saw one of his movies, and want to be in this guild for no real reason. If you can't scrounge together enough fandom to fill even a few posts, then you are not a fan, and perhaps you don't belong in this guild.
Starting today, you have 58 days to show me, and the rest of the guild members why you joined this guild. (assuming you have not done so already)

Ok The cleanup has begun.
Over 90 members have already been banned for having not posted once since they joined. Those were the easy bans to do.
However there are nearly as many, if not ore users with just 1 post. So in the coming weeks we will be watching those 1 post members, and perhaps trying to locate that 1 post.
If lack of participation is the issue with the 1 post members as well, they will be the next group to go.
I don't want to say there is a bare minimum of posts that will keep you from getting banned, but I would like to see some level of participation in the guild.
I don't care if your posts are in the main fan threads, or in the off topic threads in the subforum, I just want to encourage activity. We are all Smith fans here, we share at least one common interest. We should be able to talk to each other more than we are.
On January 1st I will begin accepting the membership requests that have been waiting the last few weeks. Please try to make them feel welcome and make them want to come back here often to share their love for the fat man!
