I have found that a good way to improve your writing is for you to find out what you are good at, and cultivate it. So... What are you good at? what makes the writer inside of you tick? Which parts of the storyy-making process is your favorite? what IS your storymaking process?

What am I good at? I was recently admired upon my naturalistic style of writing...Other than that I myself am still learnig that.
what makes the writer inside of me tick? Loving my characters, they are my favorite part of any story. As such, I like to have set characters on a map that's predetermined, but other than that, when I'm writing, anything I write isn't planned. It all is just as surprising to me as the reader ((mostly...))
Which parts of the story-making process is my favorite? Making the characters ((I'll even draw them IF I like them enough ^^)) and drawing up the map.
What IS my story making process? 1.) Making characters/map 2.) Making basic ((oh so very basic)) problems and storyline 3.) Writing/typing it out.

I like writing books about the underdog.
Examples: 1. A sports team known for being mediocre year in and year out, but coming back to be dominant.
2. A town who has lost pretty much everything, and remaining citizens coming together to rebuild their home. (I'm actually in the works of this story)
3. A new kid at school that makes a difference.

I've found that I'm best at coming up with concepts to go in a story, or basic enhancements. Like a promise tattoo. Basically you place a spell on a part of your arm, and you make a promise to another person who gets the same tatoo. Then, you do all you can to fulfill the promise to get rid of the tattoo. I thought it was a great idea, but I couldnt think of a storyline to go with it. rolleyes I'm not good at coming up with characters, but when I do, I like to give them unique back-stories.

The concept of writing what you understand and are best at is something I've heard before. Oddly I always write on a topic I have very little experience with in little life which is romance. I'm still trying to find what makes my writer ticks because honestly it hasn't really ticked much in recent years. I think back in the day it was my friend/muse whom I could bounce ideas off of that helped me, but then real life got in the way for both of us. After years of abandoning my writing, it would seem the gears to starting this hobby has gotten very rusty. My favorite part of story-making is analyzing and making of my characters. Trying to put myself in their shoes and thinking how they would feel in that situation and trying my best to word out those emotions. I don't think I have much of a system to writing. I try to get everything down when the inspiration arises these days. My last story didn't get past character maps and a short prologue.

What am I good at? I'm constantly being told just how creative I am. Supposedly writing Fantasy and my own made up creations draw people's attention.
what makes the writer inside of me tick? When I watch a movie or something and am drawn to writing a story that is comparative to it.
Which parts of the story-making process is my favorite? Making the characters
What IS my story making process? I always make my characters first, then I draw out a plot line for each chapter, then I delve deeper into the plot line, then I write.

What am I good at? All I need is the name of the main character to come up with a story the readers say I should publish. And then it's a breeze for me to write the whole thing. I can find a magic element in anything.
what makes the writer inside of me tick? I have absolutely no idea. You give me a story idea, I'm off, so I guess it's just the idea of writing which makes "the writer inside of me tick".
Which parts of the story-making process is my favorite? I have no favorite part. I like making the characters, making the world, making the plot, making the characters' backstories, writing the story, reading and editing the story, all in equal degrees... though perhaps I enjoy writing it more than the rest.
What IS my story making process? 1.) Main character's name 2.) Entire plotline on the spot 3.) Rest of the characters 4.) Come up with specific scenes in story (actually, I do that from beginning to end of story) 5.) Write story 6.) Edit story... 7.) Come up with the next book in the series.

What am I good at? Whatever catches my eye or mind. I could be walking down the street and see a guy in sweat clothes waddling instead of running. Then BAM, Idea pops into my head about a story of a struggle between between the guy and his ex-wifes new bofriend who is some track runner.
what makes the writer inside of me tick? When you forget about what you wrote and there is no background story to help you remember. When the power goes out and you didn't save. When you can't make sense of your work.
Which parts of the story-making process is my favorite? Thinking about the idea that goes through my mind.
What IS my story making process? 1.) Watch, learn, think 2.) Catch something old, misplace, not ordinary 3.) Try to trap down the thoughs in my head with pen and paper (or Napkin) 4.) Go full out on the idea 5.) Think up characters 6.) write down what comes into mind on paper 7.) then type it on computer 8.) print it and visualize the mistakes 9.) Fixs errors on the paper 10.) Then it should be down.

What am I good at? I feel like I'm good at some poetic styles, I also think I'm good at making characters seem interesting. what makes the writer inside of me tick? Inspiration from other interesting things from any part of life I've experienced or something someone's told me. Which parts of the story-making process is my favorite? When I make a plot where people think they know how it goes and take a hard left turn into an unexpected road. What IS my story making process?I start from End to Beginning.
