Appearance: he commonly wears dark clothing, often including a stereotypical trenchcoat. often wears a concealed holster under it, with his trusty beretta. he often carries a magazine of ammunition, imbued with matter magic to generate ammunition when they are emptied. the gun it self is enhanced with improved accuracy and durability. he has black hair, tied back in a ponytail with a black band. he usually wears a pair of shades, even at night to hide his use his mage sight, which causes his eyes to go completly black and his pupils to form into skulls. he is also known to carry a lead coin in the form of a medalion around his neck to aid in his castings.

-Early Life-
then man who would become Jade was once an ordinary kid, living in Indiana. He lived in a small town than now no longer exists in this world. He had an relatively ordinary childhood. he had friends, and even started training to become a Detective, much like his father. He spent his days studying with his father, and even went on a couple of cases with him.
But on his tenth birthday, all that would take a change for the worst.
-Death, and awakening on the path of doom.-
On Jades tenth birthday, he was out with his father, celebrating his birthday at the local icecream parlor. just the a man burst into the building and opened fire with an automatic weapon, killing him and his father among others. and all went dark.
soon, his eyes opened, and he knew he was no longer among the living. before him laid a land of darkness, where the cries of a thousand lost souls lay, awaiting there turn to return in a new form to the living world. as he looked to the ashen sky, he could see a light. something within him told him to go towards the light. crossing the bleak wasteland was not an easy journey, but there was nowhere else to go. after what seemed like days, he reached a large onyx tower, where the light was coming from. it was like one of those lighthouses you see on the cost, only not so dark and gloomy, and not nessacarily surrounded by the ghosts of ancient people. he opened the large doors and walked in to an amazing sight. the room into which he walked was fairly large, and the walls, from top to bottom were covered in names, with a single space on the back wall. he walked over to the spot and looked closlyt at the names there. the two names right next to the blank spots were the names of his mother and father. why would their names be in a place like this. he knew in his heart thay the space was reserved for his signature. he scrathed his name into the wall. once it was done, all went dark once again.

-the hunt for vengeance, Death Reborn:The Return of Sailor Moros-
When Jade came to again, he was alone in a hospital room. How he had got there, and what happened to the others at the parlor. Then it all came back to him. the attack, the death, the land of darkness, and his name on the wall of the tower. Something was different. he could feel it deep down. After a few days of recovery, he was released from the hospital, to stay with his uncle, also a detective who worked with his father. he studied with him for 2 years, still trying to find out who killed his father. over those years, he began to notice strange things around town. people long dead still walked among them, never noticed by the living whom they walked among. but he could see them, and he could hear them. he began to learn much from the fallen souls. gaining knowledge of his own powers, and aiding his uncle in his job as a detective. he was able to call the victims soul back to this world, and ask of them what happened. As well, he could enhance his sight, and scan the dead, finding the source of their demise, making searches easier. It was the beginning of his 3rd year as an apprentice to his uncle he stumbled upon a clue to his fathers killer. As he was walking by the ice-cream parlor, which never opened after that day, he heard the cry of a spirit. when he went to investigate, he saw the man who killed his father. apparently, he was now bound to this place.
After an intense interrogation, he was able to discover who ordered the hit on him. it was a man by the name of Cline. when jade questioned his uncle, he said only that it was a man his father was investigating on possible mob affiliations. Jade took this as a sign and began to watch this Cline and his men. he then learned that the darkness was his ally, as he could mold it to protect him from sight. after 3 months of investigating, he made his move, moving through his large home in downtown, killing his guards 1 by 1. As he made his way through the manor, he found Cline in his office, ready to go down fighting, as he had 6 men with him armed to the teeth. Jade tried to use his powers to aid him, but this time, something went wrong, terribly wrong. Jade began to invoke his energy, and it came rushing through him. he couldn't control it. The energy was terrible and tore apart all the men and Cline, and began to compress around Jade, Eventually releasing in a massive explosion. when Jade awoke, he was in the back of a car, with a single driver in front. His name was Daron, and he had rescued Jade from the wasteland that his hometown had become. He explained what had happened. Apparently, using his powers, or Magic as he called it, in front of normal people, can cause the power of a dark realm known as the abyss to seep forth into the world, causing catastrophes, like what happened in his town, now nothing but a barren wasteland.
Daron took him to the City of Chicago, and after some time for him to rest and mourn, was inducted into the Order known as the Mysterium. From that point forward, he delved deep into his studies. After many journeys with several of his fellow order members, he broke out on his own for a time. from the time of his awakening, he had had many dreams, of a warrior in Black calling him to 'Return' to the place where it all began. That was when he returned to the blasted ruins of his home town. And he was awakened as the Pentacle scout of Stygia, wielding the dual powers of mater and death in defense of the world from it's enemies. He was then told there were others, there powers created during the battle for the supernal realms many ages after the fall of the ancient kingdoms.
