Hi there,
I've just recently updated to Flash CS4 and yet again there is a new version of actionscript (3.0). I've been working on a basic platform fighting game in actionscript 2.0 just for fun and my own self improvement and was wondering if i should just ditch it and start again in 3.0? or should i make it in both versions? or just not worry about it?
Is anyone else into making games? If so what kinda stuff have you made in flash?

Hmmmmm..........you might have to do research on that one. I've messed with flash before but never got the chance to handle Actionscript. However, as someone who has handled code, I'd advise you check what most flash apps are using.

I am under the assumption that Actionscript, like HTML, CSSS, etc. might have issues with certain browsers or versions of browsers. Therefore, I would also advise you test how things project on IE or Firefox. Safari and Opera tend to have nearly the same web standards. But Firefox and Internet Explorer are the main browsers to focus on. I've learned, like most web designers, that IE can be a b***h at times.
