Name: Rackella S. Hertford, Ph.D.
Appearance: Rackella stands at about five-foot-six and is of medium build. She has a copious amount of brown hair that refuses to be tamed, hazel eyes, and somewhat pale skin, though this is likely due to underexposure to the sun. Her dress depends largely on her activities, ranging from formal dress complete with corset and miniature top hat to slacks and a white linen shirt.
Personality: Rackella is typically quiet when first introduced to new people or when in a large crowd, but can be quite talkative in small groups or one-on-one situiations. She enjoys science as a hobby, theatre as a passion, and the meticulous study, documentation, and (if absolutely necessary) restraint and control of paranormal beings (vampires, werewolves, zombies, and other such creatures of the night). She enjoys reading, writing, and drawing, as well as acting and causing needless explosions.
Biography: Rackella was raised in a small New England town by loving, if stodgy and boring, parents. Her childhood being rather uneventful, she entertained herself with stories of brave adventurers in search of excitement and danger, and sought to emmulate their lifestyle. Her chance came soon after her seventeenth birthday, when she had a bit of a run-in with a vampire and was able to use the information gleaned from her books on the subject to protect herself and a number of villagers from harm. This accomplishment gained her the notice of an elite group of paranormal investigators known as the Tillinghast Association, of which she became a member. She was educated in their university and received her degree with highest honors. From that point onward, Rackella has devoted her life to researching the paranormal, and has traveled all over the world in earch of new information to add to her ever-growing store of knowledge.
