What do I when when I need to get out of a psychosis-inducing writer's workshop today?
A Freaking Bomb Threat. That's what.
Outside. On the football field, two hours with freaking everyone else in the school of at least 2500 kids. And today was the one day I decide to wear a Polo shirt.
All because some cockwaffle decides to write an anonymous letter to some office stating; "Tick Tock, 9:30"
Which was received before 8:00.
Gah. At least people got hyper and decided to do funny stuff to pass the time.
So, Bomb Scares, am I the only one finding them more and more frequent these days? Kinda scary. Thank god all the ones I've experienced were flukes.

hm...yea I had a few bomb scares when I was in school, but no boom to speak of....though there was an actual arson if you could call it that. You'd be surprised how quickly a wastebin full of paper can fill a school full of smoke. confused

That's the first one in our district then, right? I got the phone call this morning and my first thought was surprise at how nobody at the school had done that before. sweatdrop Glad it was nothing and everybody's okay.
People are awful. *sad head shake*

Our school already had three this school year. The most frequent one we had to actually evacuate our school property and go to the elementary school. (Not like we don't evacuate the property anyway, but this time we had to walk. not like it was far or anything, the elementary school is maybe 1/9 of a mile down the road)
But come on. If you were going to blow up something, wouldn't you NOT tell anyone? It's just common sense.

But then if they always assumed that, it'd be the one case that someone DOES tell them, and then they don't take it seriously.
They can't feasably, or safely not take bomb threats seriously. Better to be safe than sorry. :/

I've never had a bomb threat. Heck, my school is so small we don't have gun threats. We have crop draught threats. gonk
I'm glad it was nothing, though.

I'm thinking whoever wrote the note wanted to destroy the school itself, but not the people in it, hence why he would write the letter and not just detonate a bomb.
And yes, people REALLY really suck.
But Lady; You've had 3? That's pretty sick. Just what kinda people attend your school? sad
