I cannot remember if I have read anything by this author. Probably not. I usually forget names unless they are the really well known writers too. sweatdrop Can you give me a small sypnosis of the titles you mentioned above? I might be tempted to add them to my reading list for winter break, even though that list already has well over 30 titles on it now.

well ok, memory and dream is about a painter who learns the skill to bring what she paints to life, but soon she finds out that someone, or something, has been killing her paintings. she must find a way to stop it before something really bad happens.
moonlight and vines is a compiliation of short storys, all of which i loved... but there is to many to explain...
and a new one that i am adding to the list is forests of the heart. i just finished that one last night, and i loved it. there are like five main characters, and all of their different storys are brought together in the end. it is so cute.... (and evil spirit was brought fourth and they are forced to fight it in the end...)

Hi, Sita-am-i!!

I am reading The Onion Girl by Charles de Lint. It is awesome. It is the first book that I have read by the author, but I plan to get the others. I highly recommend this book. (I will not tell you much about it, because I know Sita plans to read it).

I've read his "Wolf Moon"
It was written nicely, the prose was awesome, but the characters were out of depth.

I've read De Lint's Dreams Underfoot, and I absolutely loved it. I just got Memory and Dream and The Ivory and the Horn for Christmas, and I can't wait to read them!

I've read deLint. I tend to like his short stories better than his novels. He's got great atmosphere, lovely descriptions, and fantastic ideas.

His characters, though, are not as developed as I'd like for a novel-length read & he does have a tendency to thwack you over the head with a MESSAGE at the end of the book.
