I'm like 99.9% sure that its still hit, int, crit and sp for mages. I know hit is the first (til capped) but after that I'm not sure in what order s**t goes.

If it's anything like elemental shamans, I'd imagine the order would be something like hit --> crit/sp --> haste. The int is a base state that generally increases as you get better items.

molten armor increases your crit based on your spirit as of 3.1 so spirit has been made more useful for mages than it has been in the past.

But in general yeah, I think you still want hit/crit/sp/haste whatever before you go for stamina or spirit.

anything but stamina, basically, unless you're leveling, in which case it doesn't really matter and you shouldn't spend your money on items.

Unless your going pvp i'd steer clear of stam, you shouldn't be getting hit much unless you OT the tank, and blink, Invis, iceblock and mana bubble should help with survivability. hit/crit/int are all important stats when it comes to mage.

I figured...when coming to PvP I put on my Ice Barrier and Mana shield. Ok, the crit really helps a lot!
Thanks guys ^^

I agree with the rest. With mages it's extreamly important to first get hit capped. then sp and crit next.

As far as stam and spirit go, in 3.1 they did make spirit affect Molten Armor which is amazing for frost or fire. if youre arcane it's better to stick with mage Armor purely for the mana regain
