her eyes flutter open, their color a pale grey Ryo has never seen before. She looks at him in confusion, before closing her eyes and weakly bringing a had to her head.

Their armor fades to sub-armor, allowing them to move quickly. Seeing Shade's open eyes, they pause in their steps, looking at their friend. Dannin looks at Shade. "Shade-san, you all right?"

"....no I hurt...... and who's.... Shade?" One eye opened, focusing on Dannin briefly before she slides unconcious again.

Dannin swollows hard, looking from Shade to Ryo, then back to the warrior in his arms.
"This can't be good," she says.
"We can't take her to that Wildcat place," Ryo says, "now what?"
"Whatelse," Dannin says, "back to the house. It's a long walk, but we can make good time in subs."
Ryo shifts Shade in his arms.
So the two launched into a run. It really was a long way, but the two flame warrior made it to their small home just outside the woods as the sun began to set. A young teenage girl and an even younger boy sat on the porch playing cards.
The boy looks up, all grins and waves. The girl looks up, but her face isn't quite as hyper. She walks up, confused slightly. She looks at Shade in Ryo's arms, then at Dannin.
"Mother?" she says, "what's going on. You left with Uncle Kento hours ago."
Dannin nodds, "We ran into some trouble. We had to get back here quickly."
"Who's the chick Dad's got with him?" the girl says, "don't tell me it's another Wildcat."
Ryo chuckles a bit as Dannin groans, "She is Shade, an old friend of my sister. And mine. She was with us when we ran into trouble."

Said girl groans as her eyes flutter open again, and she blinks.

"Come on, we better get inside," Dannin says, "subs outside is never a good idea."
Ryo nodds, walking towards the front door past the small boy, who is watching with big eyes as Ryo walks by.

Shade stirrs, weakly struggling. "p-put me d-down....." make that VERY weakly struggling. were he unarmored, he could easily keep a hold of her.

Ryo looks down, "Oh, you are awake. It's all right, you're safe here."

"how can I know that? wh=who are you?" again she struggled, but gave up in short order. "And wh-why am I so weak....?"

The boy walks over, "He is Ryo, of Wildfire. He's my dad. My mom is back there, Dannin of Black Flame. My sis Dani is with her, and I'm Rekka."
Dani smirks at her brother, while Dannin shakes her head, "This is a place safe for all those who need it."

"Riteousness and h-honor?......" she shook her head. "Y-you said my name is Sh-shade?" she closed her eyes. "How can I know to trust you when I c-can;t remember anything?"

Ryo nodds, trying to hold back a bit of a smirk. She might say she wasn't Shade, but she was still acting like it. He finally speaks again. "Safe of not, you're really not in any condition to fight any of us. We're all tired from fighting and the kids have been home alone all day. Can you really pass up a soft bed and a warm meal?"

the following afternoon, Shade finally gets out of the bed, shakily walking on her own, and manages to find a perch on the edge of something.

Dani is standing next to where Shade found her perch. She looks back with a slight smile
"Good afternoon," Dani says, "how are you feeling."

A sigh is her reply, as Shae proceeds to put her head inher hands. It is obvious that she has been crying, and trying to hide it.

Dani nodds slowly, "That bad, huh? Don't worry about mom and dad. They mean well."

"It's just..... hard.... when they seem to know so much about a past I have no memory of at all. I don;lt really know who I am, all I know is for some reason I really, really want to do Sumi-I."

Dani nodds, "That can be hard. I know nothing of my past. My mother doesn't tell me."

"....at least you know who you are, and you know she is your mother. All the mempries I have are opening my eyes to see your father and your mother looking at me worridly before seeing you." A hand drifted to her neck, and a delicate silver chain she wore. "I know strange things.... and do not know why."

Dani leans back, looking at the sky. It is a bright and sunny day, a rainstorm overnight giving the world a new and clean look. She smiles a bit. "Yes, I have that much. I am sure more will come to you. For now, know that you have friends here."

"All I have for that is your word." She sounded very sad about that. "I know about Mystical Armors, fragments, I know this necklace is personally important to me.... but I don;t know why. I.... should find a way to live on my own, I can;t keep imposing on you all like this."

Dani chuckles, "What and leave my mom to handle my dad all by herself? It's nice for girls to outnumber the boys for once. But if you must go, my dad's got a bunch of friends in the city, the should know something."

A dry chuckle. "Any ideas on what I could even do?"

Dani looks at Shade, "Not a clue. I'm still in High School."

A sigh. "I guess I'll have to impose until at least that is figured out."

Dani nodds, "Long as you stay out of my brother's room, it's all good."

"hah. Just donlt curse at him."

"I try not to," Dani smirks, "but he is a little bug sometimes."
"I am not!!" Came a squeeky voice from the door

Shade chuckled at the two. "Baka."

Dani and Rekka launch into a heated debate
"Are too."
"Are not"
"too"
"not"
"too"
"not"
"Rekka no baka!"
"am not am not am not!"
"Uso....uso Rekka!!!!"

Shade has started chuckling.
and that last sends her over on her side.

Cherry blossoms fall around Dani, but the young woman does not seem to notice. But Ryo, who had just come home from the city, recognizes what has just happened. Her baggy clothes were missing, replaces but a red and white body armor her knew all too well.
Ryo swollows hard and Rekka squeeks. Dani goes to run after him. Ryo runs quickly to her, grabbing her by the arm. The cool armor feels strange on his bare hand. Dani looks back, sees Ryo's face, then looks at her own arm.
"By the...." Dani mummbles, "no, no it's not possible. I'm the normal one in this family."

Shade recovers. "That's what you get for calling the poor boy wildfire." she continued to laugh her tail off.

Ryo finally smirks, "We named him Rekka....kinda in memory of my first Wildfire armor. Which somehow now Dani is wearing."
Dani growls and Rekka peeks from around the doorframe.

"She said, uso before shouting at rekka. I told her not to curse at him." **snicker snicker snicker**

"And serves her right for it," Ryo says, "now she will lead the Ronins. I thought I would have that armor forever."
Dani hisses, "You mean....you're enjoying this?!"
Dannin's ears pick up the sound of the fight and she finds Rekka hiding behind he door frame. "What's going on here?"
Rekka looks at him mother, "Dani got a new outfit."

Shade, still laughing, "Uso! Rekka!" and she continues to laugh. "She didn't leave,"

Dannin looks up, "my stars! Dani Hyrosha Sanada!!!"
Dani swollows hard and turns her head slowly, "Yes mother?"

The year is 2035. All has been calm for the last few years- or relatively so. Various ronins have settled down, some of them in Japan, others in america, others in other parts of the world.

Most of them were happy the fighting was over.

Once again things have begun to stir...

New Year's Eve, every kanjii that had awakened rang with a warnining. Something had happened, and they would be needed to fight again, the warning was NOT subtle. They all were being drawn back to Japan, to Tokyo, to a small place in a park where Anubis once met Kaos and saw his kanji of Loyalty for the first time.

They all heard the call, and they all somehow also know they must get stronger before they can win whatever fight is coming....




Tokyo, a iced-over lake, a snow-covered park, a frozen fountain....

We begin.

Waking up in the middle of the night, Lena sat up from her bed. In a cold sweat, she felt it, her link with the spirits still with her, though the armor had been passed on from her. Glancing over to her husand, Rowen, who sat up beside her, they nodded, knowing what was going on.

They wern't surprised to find Touma and Kairi standing in the middle of the living room, fully dressed. After all, these two where the heirs of their power, they would know. Kairi was the first to look at her parents, nodding silently as she clutched the gem in her fist.

Lena stepped forward, enveloping her daughter in a hug, sorrowful that her armor's burden now lay with her daughter. Kairi was sad, merely because she knew her carefree life was over, and she would have to try to fill the shoes herm other had.

Touma watched on, solem as Rowen clapped him on the back. With a nod, Rowen indicated how much he cared, letting him know he believed. Touma understood. Walking over to where Kairi was, he nodded to her, they both pulled away, standing at the door.

The siblings looked back upon thier parents and gave small smiles, a reassurance that everything was alright. Together, the two went to Touma's bike, getting on and letting him drive, leaving thier parents behind for now.

SOon they arrived at the open space, frowning as they watched. Bike parked next to another's, they got off, putting thier helmets back in place. The strange light led them forth...
