Next time you paint your nails black, use the sky blue to paint a stripe at the top of your nails, kinda like a french manicure, very carefully make a triangular shaped streak from the middle of the stripe to almost the cuticle. wink Like this:  the overall effect on all your nails is awesome! Neon Galaxies hehe, I usually paint my nails black. *lol* I have solid black nail polish and shiny black nail polish. I also have like, a really pretty sky blue color too.
I only started painting my nails again because maya from my favorite band LM.C did! XD (the cutie on the left)

The rockstar claws did not last long but I did get a mani/pedi today...obnoxious green glitter on my fingers and bright pink on my toes biggrin

I saw this really neat nail polish on t.v.... Its made like an eyeliner bottle but it's nail polish......You can polish your nails anywhere without having to worry about spillage.... Its called Nic's Sticks, by O.P.I..... Makes it so much easier to polish my nails and toes.....I just twist the top off and start polishing, like using a marker on your nails. .... Great for traveling, or for someone like me who really doesn't have a lot of time for myself...... I bought mine at Target. Runs about $7.99....check it out.

Anyone doing awesome nails for Halloween?
Last year I bought this really kick-a** set of fake nails at Wal-mart. I mean they were AWESOME. They were the good kind that you have to glue on, long, and had a beautiful black web design on a platinum background.
This year all they has at Wallyworld was the cheap kiddy pres-on crap. I thought about buying one to try but they were short which means I would have to cut my nails to wear them stressed (Plus I felt they were way over priced for the quality.)
So this year I decided to paint my own nails (god help me).
I'm sticking with the black on platinum look since my costume is silver and black. My game plan is to print out some tiny bats on paper, make stencils out of them, and just slap 'em on my nails.
Any one got any good ideas?

Yes I am doing Nails with black lace tips. When I was growing up my mom always did her nails in Black with a thin layer of silver glitter over it for Halloween. I just get my nails done with a gel overlay to strengthen my actual nails and then paint them but for halloween i had my nail lady do a halloween glitter (black, orange, green, purple all mixed together) and then paint a white web on my ring feathers. they are way cute.

Acrylic paints!
The kind you can get at Walmart in the craft section for around $0.50 a bottle. I have a bunch of these in many colors and I use them once in a while in various designs.
They leave a smooth look with no visible brush strokes and leave strong vibrant colors with a thin, light coat and best of all very easy to remove if you make a mistake. The only problem is they have a very flat matte finish and flake easily but that is solvable with a good clear top coat, in fact if you don't use a top coat they WILL wash off with water rofl .
Has anyone else used acrylic paints to do their nails before?
